Wheel size and lowering question

Lowered the car with an H&R Sport Spring Set.
Looks great and rides well but at this point in time it sits real low.
Hopefully in about a couple of weeks, (mid May)
My wheel & Tire combo will be in.

Is this going to work?
Or do I need the Fenders rolled?
Any one has a similar setup?
No rubbing or scrapping of the OEM tires is present at this time…

It is lower than mine - I lowered it with the Eibach Pro Kit. Can you send a pic of the back wheel?

i think you will be fine...9.5 rear with a 55 offset...you'll be ok. front will be a tad close...8.5 with 45 is cutting it close ...you might...i said MIGHT...scrub a little on full lock..but i think you'll be fine...

Here is my set up with Tanabe GF210 Springs and yes, I did have to roll the rear fenders.
19x8F 40mm offset
19x9.5R 42mm offset
245/35's and 275/30's

Your springs REALLY lowered the front. I thought the H&R's were only good for 1 inch? Your car looks closer to 2 in the front. I'm jealous.

and it looked similar but when i went on ebay and the net they say only a 1inch drop
but clearly it is lower than my tein stech.
anyone else got H&R springs that can confirm the drop

Thanks guy's, for a minute I touch something was wrong here.
Will post better pictures of the whole car tomorrow....
It's dirty now and will post them as soon as it's clean...
The drop with the H&R is way more than 1 inch!
It looked scary when al was done.
Rides well, and no bouncing, the only snag is finding a place that can do an alignment.
(It would not clear the ramp with the front bumper/spoiler)

I have 19" x 8.5," 31.5 mm offset up front & 19" x 9.5" 35 mm offset in the rear with no rolling. Fits fine. I got the 235/35/19 & 265/30/19 Toyo T1S. Was told I had to get these slightly smaller sizes if I did not want to roll my fenders, but I have the RB springs & they only dropped my car .5" The rear is about perfect, the front still rides very high (could probably drop another 1"). Luckily because the drop is not too bad, next time I will go with 245's up front & 275's in the back.

While the front may look nice try racing it on the track or pushing hard on curvy roads.

The front end really becomes compressed when cornering. In fact I've seen it drop two inches going around a curve in Atlanta. Check out the oictures in the SE section HDPE March

could it be your springs are defective? I can see them maybe settling a few mm over 1 in. but claiming a 1 inch drop and then they settlle over an inch seems a bit abnormal, is there anything else you've replaced besides springs? it does look good, but if they settle any more you might be oil-pan/transmission pan shopping or worse pretty soon.

Miles driven sins install: maybe 50.
Only H&R springs where installed.
Followed the DIY on the site here, (preload thing)
And left the car sitting in the garage for 48 ours.
No problem on my drive-way or streets I frequent.
Only have an 8 mile commute a day, and when it rains I drive the wife’s FX.
(Works at the same job, and saves me time on scraping Missouri mud from 2 cars!)
In the 50 miles I did, I would say that the cars steers like a razor knife, does not bounce and handles real well, better then before.
Will post pictures when my Hiro's come in....

H&R claims a 1.25 inch drop in the front and rear.

1 question: How do you guys get an alignment?
Mine would not fit on the ramp.
Sins the front has no alignment bolts,
Do I need a front alignment to?

When I had my WRX it was lower than that and I couldnt fit on any lifts either. I had to search around for places where I could make it. Other times they would just have to jack me up manually :D

Thanks for the info... Mindtrip
Will shop around next week for an alignment....
Just cancelled my Axis Hiro wheel order and went for the:
Volk GT-C gun metal 19 8.5 F and 19 9.5 R from one of the forum vendors...
WheelAutoHaus
Claims he had them in stock, will see...
Have serious mid live crisis at this time, turn 38 next month…. Need wheels….
Hope to have them end of the week....
Let you Guy’s now if I have them and work with the H&R springs….

Wheels are on the car....
Thanks a million for the fast shipping and price of one of our forum vendors.
(AutoWheelHouse)

Looks like they fit well, a small rubbing problem on the driver side,
But it looks like it's on the inside?
Will clean my baby now and investigate further....

None on the fronts.
Just a small rub on the drivers rear, will crawl under the car later in the day...
(If I still can.)

Thumbs up

WOW! That drop is perfect. I'm loving the way the car looks lowered like that. I was going to buy Tein-S but now i'm thinking bout getting H&R all because of how your car looks.

One thing concerns me though. Is your car to low to use a lift at a shop or a dealer?

And how is the ride quality compared to the stock ride height. Is it more rougher and bouncer and stiffer. Or can you not really tell. Pleease let me know. Thank You!

Ride is almost the same with the stock tires & wheel combo.
A little stiffer, but not rougher with the new tires.
Still have no alignment due to ramp problems....
But I will check out the dealer to see what he uses to get the car in the air.
If it's a lift with those "Yellow arms" I should be fine.
My fender roller is in the UPS system and will roll this afternoon....
Rears do rub with the 275, 30, 19
(Tool is for rent, to RX-8 board readers, will rent very cheap....)
Tool was 299 and when I have my money back it will rent for free!
