Screw the barret, I just shot the new m107 yesterday, and have shot the m82 as well so I know what I'm talking about. It’s a free floating barrel, how the hell can you call that a sniper rifle? The military doesn’t, it doesn’t meet the criteria, it cant put rounds in the required group for it to be classified as a sniper rifle. That and no sniper in their right mind would carry one, its heavy as shit and is super long.

Fanman, I can tell you know what youre talking about. I had a Galil 308 & HK91(G3). While these are good Battle rifles they are a reloaders nightmare. The Galil put a big dent in the cases and the HK91 with the fluted chamber tiger strips the cases. Also the spare parts?:Eyecrazy:

I own an AMT .45 ACP backup. Smallest backup on the market, 5+1, completely stainless. Cool little weapon, and highly concealable even in your hand. ;)

I was thinking the AC-130 myself, but technically it's a weapons platform ... so you have to pick one ;) Me, I'd take the 25mm gatling.

Silver Surfer - the G3 clones have much softer flutes in the chamber, like my PTR-91 ... and they don't mark the brass badly at all. They do toss it about 30 feet away though. So if you can find it, it can be reloaded just fine. And parts for the G3 and it's clones are plentiful and inexpensive.

For just cheap thrills a 12 or 16 gage shot gun is rather nice - you don't really have aim, it can be fired right from the hip - you can take out a duck, or get those big horse pill shots that can take out a deer... and a load of rock salt can permit some very entertaining discouragement without full fatality - and the shot just melts in so you don't have to pick it out of the meat...

i had two, a mark 7 44Mag and a mark 19 50 cal. they are very coold guns and great conversation peices but they have there fair share of problems. they are very heavy. ammo is exspensive especially the .50ae. and parts wear out rather quickly. i must say though firing a 425 grain solid copper 50 cal hollow point into unsuspecting melons and refrigerators is fun as hell with a ton of recoil. they both got sold as a pair for a decent sum of change about a month ago.

Mine would probably be a custom Kahr PM40 with the polymer receiver moulded from polycarbonate, with the magazine witness holes turned into a slot on the sides of the magazine and with the grips polished and transparent over the witness slots in the magazines (essentially setting up the PM40 with some of the functions of the classic ASP 9mm). I'd want the slide smoothed and coated in Teflon-S, and I'd want a matching suppressor to go with it. While there are certainly more formidable choices, is something I could have on my person practically all the time.
