I can not get this song out of my head. It is driving me crazy...I never liked it, and have not heard it for like, oh 20 years. And I can not hear the "vocies" because of it...and they are getting angry.

What songs are stuck in YOUR head?

Dammit Klegg! All !@#$%^& weekend I had that Procol Harum song "Conquistador" stuck in my head -- heard it on XM Friday night and could NOT get rid of it until late yesterday. I don't even LIKE that song!

And now you start this thread and -- guess what I'm hearing?

Kon-Kwee-Sta-Door your stallion stands, in need of com-pan-neeeee... bumbumbumbum...

"Here comes your 19th nervous breakdown....."

Just loaded old Stones on my iPod last night, and that's the song I heard before I got out of the car. Based on how my week looks, it may be a self-fulfilling prophecy. If I can make it to Thursday morning, I'm saved. Going to Laughlin for the River Run!!

Last week it was "I Touch Myself" by the DeVinyls.

Yesterday I heard the tail end of My Sharona and now have that riff going through my head.

"I don't want, anybody else...when I think about (phee, morgan, aratinga, kari ect) I touch myself..."

I liked that soneg. The singer went on to a modest carrier on stage.

Your version does sound nice...but I"m kind of partial to phee...

No offense morgan, aratinga or kari.

I heard she did a great Judy Garland in an take off stage production of Wizard of Oz.

I burned a disc with some Queen on it. Whenver I hear "Under Pressure" I think of Vanilla Ice.

Damn him. Lol.

Because I'm the only one as whacked out as you are. Admit it.

Damn him. Lol.

Now I have to say "damn YOU". I did not need to be reminded of Vanilla Ice this morning!
Two of my daughter's favorite bands, My Chemical Romance and The Used, also covered "Under Pressure". Not a bad rendition, but I can't imagine any cover coming close to the original.

Now I'm going to have to put the headphones back on to get "Ice-Ice, Baby" out of my head....

Just the mere mention of a better song has now redeemed you in my eyes.

Oh, great. Now, as a result, I'm thinking of "Can't Touch This". Must be the same sort of transition GotZoom made with he-who-shall-not-be-named in relation to "Under Pressure".

Funny story about "Can't Touch This": when my daughter was about a year old, maybe a little less, my son and I were playing on the floor with her. She reached for something she couldn't have, and we started singing "can't touch this" in unison. She screamed a high-C scream that nearly shattered the windows. Not sure if it was the song or the singing. Probably both.

I think that Nationwide "15 minutes of fame" commercial with M.C. Hammer and "Can't Touch This" is hysterical.

Remember the Nextel guys doing that stupid dance in the office to the boom box? The guys comes in and asks where all the stuff is and they check online and walkie talkie someone on the phone? Then go back to the stupid dance.

I laugh so hard every time I think about that.

I hate that commercial. It is like all the phallic symbols are trying to touch me through the screen the whole time.

I have Melancholy Man by the Moody Blues stuck in my head, and I can't get it out. It gets stuck in there every time I listen to it.

Now, why did I know you'd be a John Cusack fan, too? Yes, loved "Being John Malkovich", though he looked dreadful in that movie. I also loved "High Fidelity", which also has a good soundtrack. And for more sophmoric humour, "Better Off Dead". Priceless, if for no other reason than the newspaper boy who keeps demanding, "I want my two dollars!".

I love that Nextel ad. Those guys should be dancing with Elaine on "Seinfeld".

Aww, there could be worse songs stuck in your head (please reread thread for inspiration). Personally it's one of the few songs in commercials I like. Gotta love Ray Davies and the Kinks!

And the commercials are rather clever, too. :)
