I was watching the speed chanel today. I saw the Grand Am 200. Why is the Rx8 in the ST class and not in the GS class with the 350Z and the FOrd Mustang?

Their not eligible to run in that class. Maybe nobody has tried to make them eligible, maybe they did and failed, the rule book doesn't say. Though, looking at the other cars in the class, I think it will be far more competitive in ST.

The Rx8's lap times were about 4 seconds slower than the other class's.

Mazda needs to get them in he Gs class and kick some Mustang A#@!

Is this an argument to put them in the GS class. 4 seconds is an eternity on the race track. I don't know how long the races are, but that would add up quick.

I remember I drove a guys corvette at a trackday and bested his best lap time by a second on my first flying lap. I thought he was going to explode he was so angry, if it had been 4 seconds, sureley he would have died right there!
