On the japanese site, it appears you can get a new shift knob (in the various leather colours) for the 6 speed, and it's illuminated to boot. In the US accessory brochure, it appears you can get the same knobs, but only with the rotary emblem on top (no gear pattern and no illumination). It doesn't say A/T only, but on some of the pricing sheets I've seen it does appear to be A/T only. What's the deal - can you really only get the two-tone knobs if you have an Auto? Doesn't make much sense to me. What is the 6 speed knob normally - black leather but not smooth like these accessory knobs?

currently the only knobs available as accessories in the states are the two tone knobs red/black chapparel/black for the six speed and an alternate knob(rotor shaped) for the auto. none of these is illuminated. the illuminated one is only available in japan and it is for the six speed.

Yea I was wondering about that myself.

My salesman is making a trip latter this fall to the U.K. and he is willing to pickup the rear fog light for both 73JPS and myself, I hope to be able to wire that sucker up also.

We won't have any cars in the UK till late October so it's doubtful there will be any spare parts here for a while.

absolutely that is correct at the time of it's posting. of course things change and given time the illuminated knob will probably be available in the states.
