Don't ask me where to get them, because the watches haven't been released yet.

Made by Sinn in Germany... all their watches are expensive :0

I'd heard the first 800 or so RX8 owners in Germany will get these.

And, yes, Sinn does make the watch.

I would much rather get the rotary shaped watch that I saw floating around here a while ago.

Maybe that's why their cars cost more than what we are paying for.

A watch, though not all watches . . . especially not quartz watches, is a machine almost with a soul. A good watch is mechanical, that is automatic or manual wind. This Sinn is automatic. Good move from Mazda. Not only do they know cars, they also know watches.

I personally appreciate the looks of the watch, and now even appreciate the "innards".

Does the rotary element rotate in the watch?

You would have to be the biggest dork in the world (wuurld!) to buy a watch to match your car.

No exceptions.

So does my Kinetic watch fall under this category? I'm not really into watches, but a watch that I never have to wind or buy batteries for really enticed me to buy it.

Are you saying you sometimes feel that your watch knows the difference between good and evil?

I disagree. One of my co-workers has a Viper and bought the watch to match. Its a simple watch with the viper emblem for the face. It looks nice as does the car. Then again if you can afford a viper you can afford a 1700 watch two. I don't think the viper watch costs that much though.

Sorry to offend TJ, but matching a watch to your car is a dorky thing to do.

RX-8 : Cool
Matching watch: Uncool

No biggie... to each his own.
Sounds like something my 17 year old kid would say, I'm used to it.

My current watch a TAG kirium dont look like the rx8 and even here in the UK we would think a matching car and watch is almost as bad as his and hers matching shell suits.

Go figure....
