View Full Version : Have you seen the video clips??? RotaryNews.Com
Guys:
Dan posted the following yesterday over at our RX-8 Short Lead Press Event: Part 3 Impressions (http://rotarynews.com/comment.php?action=read&pgid=194) story.
We have two "short" videos from last weeks event that are availbale to RN paid subscribers. Get e-mail notifications, and special videos for $5 a year. Also get rotarynews delivered into your inbox, and have links to special videos like these:
http://images.rotarynews.com/videos/Paid
Now I know that there is at least one of you here who is a paid RN subscriber and can at least borrow the video for the rest to see. I would do it, but I work for RN. I won't tell anyone I promise... ;)
Video Clips:
1. Is a 1 minute clip of me giving a joy ride on the auto-x course and getting it all wrong in places...
2. A 29 second clip of a 100mph freeway onramp adventure..
the car sounds great in this clip.
These really show how fun this car is...
On a serious note, we really want to thank all of the good folks who support and contribute to our site and these little things are the least we can do for them.

Come on, who subscribes? I tried to subscribe but I only used my paypal account before to donate to the web server and I need some type of activation number now to use it again.

Puppy1 06-27-2003, 10:35 AM With all the RX-7 owners in our midst, I't hard to believe not a one of them subscribes?
(bump x 3)
zoom44 06-27-2003, 01:23 PM my worry is that one of the subscribers is a cop and they'll try to ticket bern for his 100mph merge.

Go here:
http://rotarynews.com/display.php?c=subscribe
just type in your e-mail address and click the button
It will take you to the next page which shows you how to subscribe.
If you don't want to pay the fee, but still want to get RotaryNews.Com news announcements e-mailed to you, just click on the little link on the "S" of subscribe in the "be a leach sentence."
Hope this helps.

brothervoodoo 06-28-2003, 09:23 AM Okay, here are the videos. I will try to host the files as long as possible but my location is bandwidth capped and won't be able to host the files permenantly. Someone with less restrictions should re-share it.

mathteacher 06-28-2003, 10:49 AM Never mind,
I got it to work thanks!
RXhusker 06-28-2003, 02:51 PM OK - what is the secret to get the video? I have tried in Windows Meida Player, Quicktime and Real Player and only get audio. I even downloaded the latest versions -- still nothing. The audio is great but it sure would be nice to see the video

tribal azn2 06-28-2003, 03:19 PM ok theres something definetly wrong with those videos. both of them just freeze and stop playing at exactly 10 seconds. the sound continues but the video is frozen and stoped
highspeed8 06-28-2003, 03:30 PM I had the same problem, stopping a few seconds in. Then I downloaded divx version 5.0.5 and it worked fine...

The codec works fine, but be aware that it puts GATOR on your computer when it installs. You can use a program like SPYBOT http://spybot.safer-networking.de/ to remove it.
