wel if irvine is like browning. we do not do pdi's on weekends. so if the truck arrives anytime after 3:00pm an friday pdi's will not be done until monday. so if we dont get them tommorrow we will have to go another weekend without :(

I will definately not have the RX-8 by July 5th. Changed (http://www.rx8forum.com/showthread.php?s=&postid=66440) my order. Instead I will bring brochures I bought back from Japan on the RX-8. oooo... aaaa... :D

So how do we know each other if none us have our RX-8s? Somebody bring a bring poster board with the words "RX-8 Geeks Meet Here"?

Also are we going to have a fun run with our beater cars in the canyons over there? It's been a while since I moved up and away (My parents house is less then a mile from In & Out) from there but I recall a short canyon road that spits you out on to Ortega Highway. I think it was White Oak Canyon or something. It's short but really sweet.

Does anyone have a 12volt TV/VCR they could bring ??

I obtained an "RX-8 Technical Highlights" video that has a LOT of very nice graphics and explanations of the various systems in the car. Engine (internal and external), DSC, rest of drivetrain, audio, etc etc.
I had not seen this one before. The part number does not exist in the "system" (yet?), and we have not obtained permission from Mazda to copy it (copyrighted etc.).

Anyway, if somebody can bring something to play it, I'll bring it along - does not seem to be any "secret" info on it. It's nice enough that most of the info SHOULD have been on a tape that was included with a new car purchase -- or sent out with the thermos??

They had a few tapes out there, but I think the particular tape you mentioned is a dealer/service educational tape. It might also be one of the marketing tapes Mazda made. In either case, this is a real cool item to have in hand! They didn't really show any of these to anyone outside of Mazda, as far as I know.

Ummm... Dave, we already have the Service Highlights CD-version ripped and shared if it's the same one. :D
But you can make up for it with Mazdatrix T-shirts, hats, catalogs, and stickers if you are inclined to bring them, LOL!

Let's just beat those cocky Texas guys with the first RX-8/Rotary Owner meet, regardless of how many show up. :D
