Hey all,
I call myself a Future Newbie, as I do not yet own an RX-8 but I should by Aug/Sept. I actually have met two of the DFW guys, Mr. Ed and (I believe) jenkins-crew at a past RPM meet in Haltom City. I was one of the RPM guys; the one with the White '03 Mazda6s with the custom White Interior.

Anyways, I'm just posting in here because I'm starting to post and ask question on this Forum to get established before getting the RX-8 (I'm big on the community-aspect of owning a car and the respective Forums/Meets). So I figured I should get in this Sub-Forum eventually. You guys seem a LOT more active than this region of the Mazda6 community. I look forward to meeting ya'll at some point in the future, asking some questions, getting some install help, etc.

I've got a lot of plans for the RX-8 (MTX GT). To start, it'll be getting the MazdaSpeed kit the day it comes off the lot. RB Suspension Package soon thereafter. Wheels/Tires (staggered 8"/9") by next March. And various parts throughout next year in preparation of a turbo by next year's end, along with some minor things thrown in throughout the year just to keep the work up on the car in the lull while saving for the Turbo and it's various accessories (anything worth doing is worth doing right). Yeah, it's sad, I've got it all planned out -- it's all I can do between now and the end of the summer when I can buy it.

Haven't decided 100% on a color, but Pearl White is more than likely what it'll end up buying.

Here's a few pics of the Mazda6. So if you see me around the Metroplex, flash the lights in greeting, as I'll probably be gawking at your car. :)

Hey Sigma, glad to see you were able to do your door panels...you'll have to tell me how you did that later :D

Glad to here you are getting an 8! They are fun to mod. I just finished my full RB suspension yesterday with some help from the local 8ers here. I know you will like our group, maybe you can come to our Tuesday night meets and gawk at our cars :D J/K Anyway, hope to see you around!

Actually, man, I only did that one door -- in fact it's still all that is done. It was such a PIA to do those door panels (and the one I did isn't very good) that I'm just going to pay someone to do the rest of them.

Looks good from here:D

What part of town do you live in?

Heh, meant to put that in there.

I live in Euless, right at the junction of 183 and 121. And I work in North Ft. Worth. The wife works in North Dallas, and I've got grandparents in Garland. So I tend to get around all over the Metroplex.

If you don't already have plans, you should definitely come out tomorrow night and hang out with us! It's not too bad of a drive and you'll get to meet just about all of the FW members since we're having a pool tournament. Let me know if you want to come and play and I'll add you in the bracket!

Well, it's been almost a year and a half, but I've finally gotten around to selling the Mazda6. The previous plans were delayed by a house purchase instead. But the Reserve price of my Mazda6 (http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/2003-Mazda6s-V6-Fully-Loaded-Manual-Warranty_W0QQitemZ140017282817QQihZ004QQcategoryZ8 4159QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem) was just met. So I imagine I'll be in an RX-8 very shortly. I might wait until September 1st if I can swing waiting that long to see what incentives pop up.

Traitor! Ha ha, just kidding! At least you're keeping it in the Mazda family. Didn't know you were thinking of selling your 6! Mine's due to be replaced in about a month. Too bad the 8 isn't on our list of company cars! Wanna sell me your wheels when you take them off? :worship:

Sigma...

I think I saw you today on the Bush turnpike heading west bound? Prolly around 5.15pm or so. If so...nice 6. I was the guy on the east bound side in the 6 wagon!!

I'll give you a real good incentive on a well cared for RX8 and save you a lot of cash in the process. I've already got a killer suspension seup on it too.

Let me know if you're interested. Come by and check it out.
