View Full Version : No Note? This Sucks! CGRX8 04-03-2005, 02:46 PM No note left! Only a neighbor that heard a crash at 3am and didnt see what kind of car hit me! THIS SUCK 9G Redline 04-03-2005, 02:49 PM I'm sorry to hear and see that dude. Good luck with getting it fixed and I hope you find who did it somehow. vsomaya 04-03-2005, 03:03 PM Nordic green owner with strakes and spoiler here. Your pictures made me want to hurt someone. Hope there's someway to track the guy down. Aseras 04-03-2005, 03:18 PM try so see if your insurance will file it under uninsured/underinsured motorist since it was a hit and run. then it won't go on your insurance record as a claim. tiggerlee 04-03-2005, 03:43 PM I would almost bet that they were drunk. especially at 3 in the morning. I wonder if that speed bump there played a role? Mikelikes2drive 04-03-2005, 03:52 PM I would almost bet that they were drunk. especially at 3 in the morning. I wonder if that speed bump there played a role? haha i was thinking the exact same thing... probably a drunk teen who hit ur car CGRX8 04-03-2005, 03:56 PM i have it scheduled to go to the body shop tomorrow. i checked every car in my parking lot didnt find any damage on any of them. i doubt ill ever find out who did it. oh well they will eventually get whats coming to them. VmanX 04-03-2005, 04:38 PM ouch sorry to hear that dude. Same shit happened to my brother when he was paralleled out in front of our house.. That's why i never parallel park anymore.. I hope that bastard pays.. Mugatu 04-03-2005, 05:38 PM Isn't that an odd place to park your car for the night? Over a speed bump? DARKMAZ8 04-03-2005, 05:42 PM looks like someone did that purposely.......slow contact...imo If they were going fast or if it was accidental you would have more damage..... SilverEIGHT 04-03-2005, 05:49 PM I tend to agree with DARKMAZ8. I would think the a safe place to park would be right where you put it, straddling the speed bump. They would have to slow down to a crawl to get over it. Looks intentional to me. Did you check the SUV behind you? Maybe that one was trying a drunken Parallel Park? Maybe the neighbor that said he herd something was the one? tiggerlee 04-03-2005, 06:07 PM looks like someone did that purposely.......slow contact...imo If they were going fast or if it was accidental you would have more damage..... I'm not sure I follow. So slow speed=intentional? Have you ever gone over a speed bump at an angle at slow speeds without your hands on the steering wheel? and you notice that the steering wheel will jerk in the direction of which the last wheel over the bump is. It looks as though that is what happened IMO,that someone may have gone over the speed bump at an angle without having full control of the steering wheel, thus jerking it to one side and causing the damage. TR1GGERx1 04-03-2005, 06:11 PM DAHHHHH sorry to hear that. PaulieWalnuts 04-03-2005, 06:18 PM That blows. Sorry to hear it. Your car looks great with those rims though. Kel Rx8 04-03-2005, 06:23 PM sorry to hear they hit your car but at least they missed the wheels but it seems odd they werent hit by the front look of the fender. are you sure you werent sleep walking/driving :) lol j/k i hope ya get umm legokcen 04-03-2005, 06:48 PM Can't believe that. Nordic Green here too, and with the same wheels. Hope you get things straightened out quickly. I felt sick looking at it too. CGRX8 04-03-2005, 08:19 PM Isn't that an odd place to park your car for the night? Over a speed bump? I don't usually park there. There was a flooded street outside of my complex and I had to move my other car into my assigned spot. when I got home I was forced to park over the speed bump. it is however a legitimate parking spot and someone parks there every night. cas2themoe 04-03-2005, 08:37 PM Had the same exact thing happen to me last summer. Here are some pics of mine. Weird, it was in the same exact spot too. nzarnow 04-03-2005, 10:00 PM I can't understand how someone can hit the wheel well like that without hitting anything else. Only thing i can think of is a trailer hitch backed into it. If a normal car hit it straight on then more damage would have been neccessary. You may have some vandals with a sledge-hammer or something. It just doesn't add up that someone can hit that area without hitting the wheels or lower area of the car. Do you have any enemies or anyone you pissed off recently? After looking at those pictures there is no way a car could do that head on without hurting something else on your car or leaving paint/scratches from their car. Hope everything works out okay for you, thats an awesome looking car. CGRX8 04-03-2005, 10:38 PM I can't understand how someone can hit the wheel well like that without hitting anything else. Nah, no enemies that i know of and like i said someone heard it happen and a car tear off. there was a scuff on the wheel and tire but they wiped clean before i took pis. with the speed bump being so high it could have been a truck or suv. hey cas, do you remember how much your damage bill ran you las summer? cas2themoe 04-03-2005, 10:50 PM Nah, no enemies that i know of and like i said someone heard it happen and a car tear off. there was a scuff on the wheel and tire but they wiped clean before i took pis. with the speed bump being so high it could have been a truck or suv. hey cas, do you remember how much your damage bill ran you las summer? Well I was lucky enough to know who did it and they paid for it out of their own pocket. If I remember correctly, it was around $650. The Dealership replaced the Black Plastic and the Fender. XDEEDUBBX 04-03-2005, 10:57 PM sorry to hear that man...i juts got my first ding today on my readr right door...=( Mindtrip 04-04-2005, 12:59 AM Its the government! mikeb 04-04-2005, 01:22 PM I would be so pissed that sucks sorry man I guess thats what insurance is for CGRX8 04-04-2005, 01:25 PM I would be so pissed that sucks sorry man I guess thats what insurance is for Hey thanks, Mike, Where did you pick up your minblue spoiler? i am looking to pick one up in the near future and cant seem to find any sellers. mikeb 04-04-2005, 04:18 PM I got lucky and riccio was selling hers in the f/s threads mintblue is all special order and normally takes months before you get product. Gambit 04-04-2005, 04:23 PM Damn man that really sucks...it looks like someone backed up into you since it seems to be a slow impact, and it would be high, so check teh bumpers of SUV's and pickups for nordic green paint. And keep a 2x4 in the trunk just in case you happen to find one. Aseras 04-04-2005, 04:47 PM screw 2x4 i'd keep a rock and a bottle of gasoline and a lighter. Alucard 04-04-2005, 04:50 PM File a police report for insurance puproses. It will be claimed under a hit and run, youre insurance will more likely pay for it then. AdictiveRx 04-04-2005, 06:22 PM looks like a larger car backed into your. It had to be an SUV or truck since the impact point was high. Could have even had a tow hitch/ball that made concentrated point. IMHO Cobalt_RX 04-04-2005, 10:58 PM Wow, I don't guess I'll complain to loud about curbing my new wheel Sat night then. I guess it can always be worse. If L-Ville wouldn't have lost it wouldn't have happened, oh well. Good luck man shawn81 04-04-2005, 11:14 PM Sorry man .. i know what u mean i had the same thing ... last year SUCKSSSS :( CGRX8 04-05-2005, 05:11 PM  Oh just an update for everyone, I just got home from work and got a message from my body guy asking me if I had a kill switch on my car because he cant seem to get it started. can anyone say FLOODED?????? i think i am going to change my avatar to this Aseras 04-05-2005, 05:56 PM well at least he didn't get to joyride for 300 miles on it for you. CGRX8 04-05-2005, 10:00 PM I guess, but i kinda wanted to be the first one to flood my car!he took something from me that i can never get back! shawn81 04-05-2005, 11:23 PM lool oh man .. i flooded my 8 too. when i tured it off i remembered that they say you shouldn't turn it on and move it and turn it back off but i didn't think anytihng would happend well WRONGGGGGGGGG .. anyway they took care of it free,... but i will never do that to my baby again.... |
