Since I had the car, a lot of people see it and ask me "What the hell is it?", but in the past week a had someone asked me if it's the new "Viper", (that's a new one for me), also had ignorant who pissed me off when he asked me if it is the new Saturn. :cool:

Most people say "Oh sh*% what is that?" Most people call it the Batmobile or something outta Terminator.

a buddy of mine calls it the x-men car, obviously cuz it is. sometimes i see the mazda 3 from far away and think its an 8.

My boss one day was like "I didn't know they made your car in 4 door--its a RX3 huh?" I was like "Nooooooooooo you saw a Mazda 3" I just blamed it on her lack of automotive accumen vs. get insulted. I like Mazda 3s btw.

i had a coworker do the same thing, "So you have the 2door version right? I saw your car with 4 door on the road yesterday." He's just an all-around idiot.

Ferrari, or viper. This was a long time ago, since then everyone seems to be an expert about 'the 2 piston rotary engine'

8 looks like a cross between the Batmobile and a Viper.

It also looks like a few European vehicles not sold on US soil too.

Someone once asked if it was the batmobile. I said no because mine is silver and the batmobile was black. Then I slapped her because I think she was mocking me, heehee :p

I also heard "Porsche" once from lady in a pickup next to me. But maybe it was just because it was silver.

It depends on the weather. People notice it more if it's sunny, that's for sure.

Due to the 8 having some real styling and not a bunch of gently rounded sheet metal, some people seem to think the car looks kinda Animated or Cartoonist like something "Rodger Rabbit" would drive. Interestingly this seems to be somewhat related to color. It seems that in colors outside of black the styling seems to stand out more. Personally I think it just looks Bad @$$

I always get "Is that a viper?"

then I say yes, only to confuse them. ;)

Yeah, people are "just a bit ignorant" about our cars. Then, when you think your finish explaining the whole body concept, the doors and everything else on the car, you gotta start with the engine. Rotary? what is that, a V8?..............Here we go........:D

I've been told it resembles a viper from the front too. At times I can see a little bit of viper styling in the front end.
