View Full Version : Finally installed my Mint Blue C/F
SHOWOFF 04-01-2005, 11:40 AM I had the bottom side painted and the CF only shows on the top. Different huh?
I got the wing on Ebay for $70 damaged from Mint Blue USA. It was a early prototype that they got in. I got it repaired painted and installed my my body shop sponsor Creative Classics Restoration and Fabrication here in KC.

Rotary Rasp 04-01-2005, 02:15 PM I like it and that's all that matters.;)
But really, for carbon fibre, it looks pretty good. It goes with your body kit well.
Mikelikes2drive 04-01-2005, 03:01 PM i love california's license plates.

dazygirl415 04-02-2005, 01:50 PM That looks good! Different w/underside painted but it turned out great!
dj.stains 04-02-2005, 01:59 PM congrats looks nice man. Does anybody know where to get anything from Mint Blue I found one company and they are expensive bulletproof automotive (http://www.bulletproofautomotive.com/catalog-detail.php?ID=2338)
monzter 04-02-2005, 03:06 PM Wing looks great man. Love that idea of painting the underside of the wing. An all CF wing would have thrown off the the clean looks of your ride. Nice idea.
Nemesis8 04-02-2005, 03:10 PM Yes, Mint Blue looks better than INGS or Racing Beat, which were my other choices.
XDEEDUBBX 04-04-2005, 03:03 AM nice wing
SHOWOFF 04-04-2005, 04:23 PM Thanks all!

dankgummy 04-04-2005, 04:39 PM looks hot. wonder if it would look nice on my car even w/o a kit..
Gambit 04-04-2005, 05:26 PM Awesome...that was a really good idea painting the bottom of the spoiler like that
Silvermister 04-06-2005, 05:49 PM That wing is sick. tha's the wing I want. Do they have it in fiberglass or Urethane?
orbist 04-06-2005, 06:27 PM Like it, and I'm not normally a fan of C/F.
Was curious, did the inspiration for the painting half come from having to cover up the damage repair work? Whatever it was, works really well.
SHOWOFF 04-06-2005, 07:50 PM You can get it in Fiberglass. There was group buy on them at one time. No urethane.

I really don't like big pieces of carbon fiber on anything. I think that it is slowly becoming very played out. I wanted to make a statement with it saying that
"yeah it's C/F and I painted it because I don't really like C/F." instead of "hey look at me I have carbon fiber everything on my car!"
It did also cover up the crack in the seam that ran the entire spanse of the wing. There are still some really small flaws in the top edge surface of the wing in the resin which is almost impossible to repair. I may just go ahead and paint the entire thing, but its kind of cool to see people look at it from the side and the rear and then up close they are like "oh sh*t that's carbon fiber"
otrovago 04-11-2005, 01:57 PM showoff can you post more pics of the wing, I want to see how it looks on a Titanium... I'm deciding between this and racing beat's wing.... Thanks
