Got word that the second group of RX's will hit Port H on the 27th. Next boat leaves Japan today with about 500 RX's on board. That boat should dock Port H on July 8th. No word on East bound boats though.

I just spoke with my salesman.. for all of us Jacksonville folks, my salesman was aware of the ship arriving in CA and said that normally it takes a week and a half after that time for the ship to reach Jacksonville. Based on this, Budman's info. provided last week about a June 30th arrival is on track. Take this for what its worth. :p

budaman do you know the name of the boat due in Port H on the 27th? i'm trying to see when it is scheduled for Tacoma.

So, the second ship will arrive at Port H 10 days after the first.

And according to Ibfubar2000's "unconfirmed" report, http://www.rx8forum.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=5614 , The 1st shipment of 8's should start heading toward Dealers around the 25th.

If the same pattern holds true then the 2nd shipment of 8's, will start heading towards dealer's around the week of July 7th. Wow, that would be a couple weeks ahead of schedule!!! Throw in a week or two of delay, slowdown and screw-up and that is still around the 3rd week of July. Well, I'm happy with that!

Wow, that is just great. You all have already got 3 boatloads headed your way, and we on the East are still waiting for some of our 1st allocation cars. That really adds insult to injury. :( :(

It could be possible that their are ships pulling into the EC docks as we speak. It's just that us WC guys don't have info about the eastern shipments.
Go down to the ports and find out, that way you won't get all bent out of shape about nothing.

Does Port Hueneme actually have an area for cars and all the installation stuff? I've sailed out Ventura and I don't recall it as some big shipping port. I always thought most major shipping went through Long Beach.

Maybe Channel Islands / Oxnard is the harbor that has all this. I live north up near San Luis Obispo (a dark secret place in the world - no one would ever want to visit there with abreviations like "SLO"); that's not too far away.

Am I way off or what?

P.S. the "can order before at port" was great news. I'll be telling my dealer what I want.

I don't have to drive to Jacksonville to know that my car has been sitting on a dock in Japan since May 28th.

Just got word that the train heading to Midlothian was in El Paso. Should hit Midlothian on Thursday. They will not be holding up the cars for a National Launch day. As soon as Port accessories are added they will be shipped to dealers.

Budaman: I believe you said they needed 3 trains to come to Midlothian; does the train in El Paso have all the cars? Actually, I am only interested in one. I sure hope they do not hold up delivery for any reason, like a launch event. Shouldn't California have their cars now if they are not holding them back?

The reports have not caught up to the cars yet. I ran a couple of the Vins that we checked last week and they are not showing shipped yet. The cars I have on the train to Midlothian just showed on my inventory report today as being in transit to Dallas, even though they left last week and were already to El Paso last night. I'll check a few more Vins in the morning to see if the warranty info has changed in regards to shipping status. Not to change the subject, but in regards to the demos that the dealers will be getting, they should arrive about a week before tha Mazda Roadshow Events in each city. Ours is going to be around August 1. It looks like all the cars are going to be identical, Red 1GT Pkg w/6spd.

Nothing new. Still showing a 10. Boat was scheduled to leave Japan on the 24th which was the 23rd here. Reports are about 2days behind actual events, so hopefully they will be updated tommorrow morning.

could you post up the whole report? this is the first time i had a vin to run and i would like to see the whole thing to make sure it is correct and to save for posterity:D

i think it will be at the dealer before it is in the system. it seems to be 24-48 hours befeore the system is updated. so you will probably have it before it changes.

Ahh.. just spoke to my dealer about it being at Port. It seems they didnt know it was even there, but he did say they did not have an "order number" for the car yet..

Whatever that means.. He thinks it should be sometime next week...

I'm with you...it seems like information was flowing rapidly and has hit a brick wall ofver the last couple of days. I think someone had mentioned in another post that the 2nd boat was due into Port H. today. The suspense is killing me...
