cool, nice pics, did you figure out how they bypassed the tire pressure sensors (or did they just ignore the light)

Those chrome wheels look pretty damn good with teh darker colored cars.
Thanks for all the great pics.
By the way, it looks like yellow it one of the most popular colors over there.

Thanks for the pics, East Moon. It seems that yellow is fairly popular over there.

Cool pics East Moon - you can see the artistry in your blood!

Guys - check out the front plate on his car - he made a sign which says "www.rx8forum.com EAST MOON" as the front plate

We had a great day. The black car with the polished wheels was probably the most unique - even had chrome wipers! Yellow was most popular, with around 2 white, 3 nordic green, 3 titanium, 8-10 yellow (?) and the rest of the 35 total blue/red (rough estimates - not counted the photos)

I met a guy who I waved to previously on the road and lives just blocks from me! When you know how big Tokyo is you'll realise how suprising/coincidental this is! We got there at 9.30am and there were cars there from 500km away who started at 4-5am! This is a true enthusiasts car and it's great to meet like minded people - both on this board and in the meetings.

Beautiful weather for it too - got the sunburn on my neck to prove it!

You guys ROCK !

Thanks for the pics -- great to see the RX-8 in mass (and their owners willing to bring them together).

I also loved the looks of the chromed wheels.

Anyone notice the light covers on the upper part of the white RX-8. It gives it a "lasy" eye look or mean look.

Kinda cool...

Love the rotary in the center of the wheel of the black one.

Thank you JSG,

Yea, I haven't quite decided what I think about that. I do like the 'lazy eye' treatment tho....

WHAT ABOUT SILVER? :p 40 cars and not a single silver!! Nobody like silver anymore? Is Japan the first country brave enough to finally move away from silver?:D

Forget Pooh, more importantly is that the "grill trim ring" on that black 8. Literature that I have read stated that option was incompatible with the front air dam. Anybody in the US interested in this accessory and have any info you could pass on?

According from what I heard (dealership info) they said that since white wasn't popular on the Miata anymore they didn't want to use it on the RX-8..

Yep, the ring plus the rotary accent make the car look like easter rabbit with a Fu-Manchu. :p

One of the white ones was lowered. I wouldn't have believed it possible but there you go! Not sure what's happened to ride comfort.

There was only 1 silver.

Rear fog lights were more popular than I expected - mostly red.

I think I saw a few cars which had the front rotary accents colour coded to the body colour.

Just curious......what are the ages of the owners that came to this with their RX-8's?

20's, 30's, 40's, 50's ?

As a matter of fact, I am not the formal member of the R3.
But as for R3, They admit that I entering into the member site.
Thanks R3 !

I want to be in a free position.
Since it is disagreeable that I become the same style as many people,
I think that a sticker will be made myself by the cutting sheet.

I think try make a stickers (logo), that is "rx8forum.com."
That's COOL for me ! :D

Thanks Renesis08 and all

JSG - did you happen to inquire as to where those "eyelids" (on the headlights of the white car) came from? In the picture of the two white cars together, it improves on the front end look substantially (IMHO) and it would be relatively cheap.

I would like to find some of those, if possible.

The polished wheels are a done deal. I wanted them anyway, but after seeing them on the black, I have to get those, too.

Thanks for any info....

Never thought I'd say it but I love the car in white.
The only car in the past in white I have ever liked is the Integra Type R, on a sporty car it certainly looks the part.
I find it somewhat frustrating that if all these colours are offered from launch in both Japan and the US (white the exception) whereas here in the UK we only have the Red,Black, Tit and silver to choose from unless we want to wait another 2- 3 months for the other colours.

I love the two metal bars beside the wheel arch - are those afterfits? They don't come as standard on the UK cars... I really like them and want to know where to get hold of a set (really X-Men 2).

I'm new to this forum so please be kind. I ordered a Titanium Grey today. I really love the black but that's when it's clean - and they don't stay clean for long.......

Welcome! A fellow Titanium lover too. The 'strakes' that you ask about are indeed dealer options. If you do a search for 'strakes' here on the forum and look at the posts regarding 'accessory lists' then you'll get the idea. There's no price as yet but we think between £150 and £200.
