My car's on the second boat too, so I'm just as anxious. I think the first we heard about cars being in transit was 6/6 and they were at Port Hueneme on 6/17. So does 11 days transit time from Japan to CA sound reasonable? Does to me.... The first we heard about the second boat being in transit was 6/20, so I'd estimate a 6/31 to 7/05 arrival date (but I'm sure the longshoremen will have the 4th of July off). I would speculate on an arrival to the dealerships about 7/15. Of course, this is all just (educated? :p ) guessing, but that's as close as I think we'll get....

Anybody have any other info, please correct me.

I think we're being a little over ambitious on that schedule. It took 17 days from when Pacific Leader was claimed to have left Japan (30 May or so) to it's scheduled arrival in CA. Other big part to remember is it went on a reverse course. Normally they go to WA first, then CA. So . . . could be very variable in comparison to the first boat. I've been guessing that we're about 3 - 4 weeks behind the current crowd of deliveries. Wait for them to get theirs, then add the 4 weeks. I'd expect the port options guys to slow down a little since the priority will probably be a little lower.

Good points. I didn't realize that the Pacific Leader left Japan in May and I'd completely forgotten that it was on a reverse schedule. If the first boats cars start arriving at dealerships this Thursday (ibfubar hinted to the possibility that they'll arrive middle of this week) it would've been exactly a month since the boat left Hiroshima. Take our departure date of approx 6/20, add 4 days for the reverse schhedule and we're looking right around 7/25. I doubt the port options are going to take any longer for the second group just because Mazda knows there are still so many loyal, preordering customers waiting and they're probably on pretty well defined schedules. Then again, I have no idea how all of that works and who installs the options, so take that arguement with a grain of salt....

Say....great input on complex details. I too had forgotten that the first ship was re-routed to SoCal before Tacoma WA.

Yeah, it's gonna be a while....I'm ready:D
