My parking dilemma
So do I park at the end of the parking lot, away from everyone, next to a concrete median thingy, and have my car crapped on by all the birds in the tree over my car? Or do I risk dings
it could be worse, you could have to parallel park your car everynight like I do. Come home later than 7 and you have to ask yourself, "Squeeze into the spot in front of my house and be banged into when other people leave or park all the way down the street where I can't see my car?"

Unless they're predicting thunderstorms, than I park away from branches.
In snowstorms, I park away from the building (ice falls from roof).
Dang car takes a lot of my CPU time

Why don't you just park as close as you can to a curb? Preferrably, making sure the other car's passenger side is next to you facing your driver's door. No one car pools to my work so the passenger side won't be opened. Also park next to cars that are also taken care of.

... and draw attention to my car in an area where it already stands out, not to mention that I don't have the facilities to wash it whenever I please and would be too afraid of scratching it.

I find a car just as nice, if not nicer than mine to park next to. I seem to have good luck with that when I park at races at Mid-Ohio. Past 2-3 times I've gone I've always lucked out and found an open spot next to a Porchse.
Otherwise at the mall or grocery store I'll either park in the back or circle till I find a nice spot. I can stand to walk an extra few hundret feet.
