AutoWeek Meet three-rotor RX-8
AutoWeek Meet three-rotor RX-8
Just received the 3-28 AutoWeek today. It has an article about the 8:
"This is Hard-Core Meet the world's first three-rotor RX-8"
Acosta Motorsports Mazda RX-8
Powertrain: 400-hp :D, 350-lb-ft twin-turbocharged three-rotor: rwd, six-speed manual
Curb Weight: 3279 lbs (est.) 0 to 60 MPH: 3.0 seconds (est.)
:p
They used a 20B with a custom built Garrett T78 turbo by Phoenix
Turbo
They haven't posted the article on their site yet. I'll add a link later.

But anyway, I am absolutely sure that I saw an article in reference to Mazdas plans to build a three rotor renesis for their indy car. I'd like to get my hands on that engine.

Damm ....sorry for the repost ... didn't think a full page article in the 3-28-05 AutoWeek about this 20B 8 would be about an 8 built in '03. Are they a little behind? oh well it's still interesting.
