Thanks to Taka for pointing out these great Carbon Fibre Side Vents
They are shown on his Web site ( http://www.step-hen.com/ ) with a pointer to the Canadian maker - Gemini Composites
http://www.geminicomposites.com/products/mazda_vents.html
The molding is Carbon Fibre in a range of colours - mine is "Blue". The vent mesh is made of aluminum and its available in black or silver. The full price is 215.00 CAD (around $AU225) delivered.
A couple of pics attached of them on my 8 ;)

Thanx Tony for your kind comment. I think it is SO cool that it has some blue in it.
I have done that to my car too.... there are some brillant black in my CF fender ;)
I like their products as it is a OK quality real carbon fibre (rather than plastic with CF pattern :p) and there are so many choice of background colours and 2 choices of mesh colour (silver/black). The blue/black combo is just perfect for Tony's car. And it is so much better than the plastic look of the stock vent. No matter what you do to the stock one, it is still plastic. ILUV48 should have a look at it. CF WORKS for a blue car!
I bet Tony will be thinking... taka has a carbon fibre B pillar garnish. I think I will have one too :D ;)

Geez make one little comment standing around Taka's car "I luv the carbon fiber on your car Taka, but I dont think it will work on my blue" and what happens... Within 2 days someone posts carbon fibre on blue and it looks good. :o
And then Taka remembers my comment and now reminds me of it :p
Can't afford carbon fibre now and it's all Takahashi's fault. :D I have been in contact with Luke and just paid my money (Sorry RP/Hymee this was the money I was saving for the short shifter) so am all ready for the track day and especially the tuition. Can't wait to see just how much I suck at driving my 8. There's going to be a lot of room for improvement. I can't wait to start. :D

No probs DAZ-13B, they do look better than the "genuine plastic" side vents, and thanks for making things cheaper than they standard ;)
