View Full Version : A Moral Question

This test only has one question, but it's a very important one. Please don't answer it without giving it some serious thought. By giving an honest answer you will be able to test where you stand morally.

The test features an unlikely, completely fictional situation, where you will have to make a decision one way or the other. Remember that your answer needs to be honest, yet spontaneous.

Please scroll down slowly and consider each line - this is important for the test to work accurately.

You're in Florida...In Miami, to be exact...

There is great chaos going on around you, caused by a hurricane and severe floods.

There are huge masses of water all about you.

You are a news photographer and you are in the middle of this great disaster. The situation is nearly hopeless.

You're trying to shoot impressive photos, photos that capture the emotion and tragedy of the events. Houses and people are floating around you, disappearing into the water!

Nature is showing all her destroying power, ripping everything asunder. Suddenly you see a woman in the water. She is fighting for her life, trying not to be taken away by the masses of water and mud. You move closer. Somehow the woman looks familiar.

You know who it is -- it's Hillary Clinton!

At the moment you recognize who she is, you also notice that the raging waters are about to take her away, forever. You realize you have two options. You can save her or you can take the best photo of your life. You can save the life of Hillary Clinton, or you can shoot a Pulitzer Prize winning photo, a unique photo displaying the actual "passing" of one of the world's most powerful women.

And here's the question (please give an honest answer):

Would you select color film or go with the simplicity of classic black and white? ;) :D

This is a horrible, horrible question.

I mean, how could you possibly switch films?

My answer: Color.

This should be a poll.

$hit man that is an easy question, first off I can multi-task by having the camera in my left hand taking the picture of my right hand grabbing Hillary. No reward, no gratuity necessary and the picture would be saved later for the RNC Convention where I show all the other Republicans that it is okay to reach across the aisle and make a friend. Maybe this will encourage others on both sides of the aisle to pull their head out of their ass and get focused on the business of making our country and world a better place for our children. Finally It would have been digital in color so I can photochop it :) If I had no other choice I would go with Color.

Choke that down fruitcakes!

Great post !
I'd choose B&W.

Reason: B&W has a way to cause an emotional impact when viewing a Wonderful happening or a tragic fate.

Grab a passerby, hand him/her the camera.
Hop in the water and pose with the drowning Clinton.
Have picture taken.
Climb out and wave "toodles" as she goes under.

Yeah people from Seattle are like that. The weather is the primary cause! I lived there for 10 years and it corrupted me for life, j/k Seattle is awesome other than all those weirdo's that hang out by Pikes Place. :)

Hillary Clinton was a guest at a school where the class was discussing the tragedies of Shakespeare. Clinton asked if any of the students could define "tragedy."

Little Suzie spoke up and said, "If a farmer was riding on his tractor and it overturned and killed him, that would be a tragedy."

Clinton said, "It would be very, very sad. But it would be an accident. That's not what Shakespeare means by tragedy if it's just an accident."

So little Billy speaks up: "If a school bus drove off a cliff and lots of children died, that's a tragedy."

Clinton said, "Well, that wouldn't be a tragedy. It would be a great loss."

Then Little Johnny Badmouth raised his hand. He said: "I know. Say that you were elected president, Mrs. Clinton. And one day you were flying in Air Force One, and one of the military jets accompanying your plane somehow fired a missile. And the missile hits Air Force One and it crashes and you die, that would be a tragedy."

"Yes!" says Clinton. "And why would that be a tragedy."

Little Johnny Badmouth says, "because it wouldn't be a great loss and it probably wouldn't be an accident."

It must be something in the water.

Ok, if you really wanted to know I would choose black and white. The picture would compliment my art collection better that way.

let it go ok?Yeah, it's probably best to let it go, but the "hit and run" tactics of Jason in making an outrageous statement, and then acting as if he never made it, does not raise the level of discourse in the Lounge.

he didn't make the statement in this thread and therefore doesn't need to be addressed in this thread, "out of the blue", ad nauseum. take it to PM with him if you'd like to discuss it more. in the mean time this thread will now be closed.
