I recall reading a post here (month or so ago) Mazda initiated a 'price increase' on the 'suggested retail' of $26,680 (manual 6-speed). I remember the increase was not much . . maybe $250.00 . . but an increase nonetheless.
When I pre-ordered (I'm in the 3rd group . . and HAVE received my VIN), the salesman added the written stipulation that I would be paying whatever the 'current MSRP' is at the time of delivery (which is fair) rather than 'locking in' the $26,680 MSRP at the time of my pre-order. Although I'm not expecting delivery until, perhaps, September, I want to be aware of ANY price increases so I have financial 'clarity' when eventually purchasing my RX-8.

That's pretty much what I'm paying for it. Have a question maybe one of you can answer. Why aren't the other options available yet? I'm referring to the front/rear lip, side skirts, spoiler, and all that other good stuff. Maybe it's just at my dealer? The salesperson is telling me they're not sure when those parts will be available, anyone have an idea of when they will be available?

I don't have a clue why they aren't available! Mayber your dealer doesn't know about them. There is an apperance pkg available, but no rear lip spoiler that I know of.

The rear LIP spoiler, I've been told, is only available in europe (and maybe Japan). Maybe one of our high-speed forum members(Jeremy are you out there?) can get us that piece and other accessories for a rather good deal.
