Who is the scariest, creepiest guy in movies?
|
View Full Version : Willem Dafoe or Christopher Walken No More Oldsmobiles 03-16-2005, 09:09 PM Who is the scariest, creepiest guy in movies? Speed-ER doc 03-16-2005, 09:14 PM Robert DeNiro No More Oldsmobiles 03-16-2005, 09:18 PM Hmmm. Can I edit my poll to include DeNiro? MazdaManiac 03-16-2005, 09:36 PM You know, both of those guys are fantastic actors with a very wide range and a multitude of skills. It is a shame that they are trapped in the roles that they recieve because of their physicality. I voted Walken, though I think Dafoe is more dramatic. Walken has intensity. No More Oldsmobiles 03-16-2005, 10:20 PM I agree they are both superb actors. But when they want to get scary, few have ever been better. Im_DANomite 03-16-2005, 10:39 PM "Your talkin to me all wrong, the tone it's all wrong. Do it again, and I'll stab you in the face with a soldering iron." - Walken JoePaterno 03-16-2005, 11:17 PM "Your talkin to me all wrong, the tone it's all wrong. Do it again, and I'll stab you in the face with a soldering iron." - Walken Yes. Can I get more Walken quotes? Anything from True Romance, King Of New York, Pulp Fiction, or Joe Dirt would be good. MazdaManiac 03-17-2005, 01:34 AM "This watch was on your Daddy's wrist when he was shot down over Hanoi. He was captured, put in a Vietnamese prison camp. He knew if the gooks ever saw the watch it'd be confiscated, taken away. The way your Dad looked at it, that watch was your birthright. He'd be damned if any slopes were gonna put their greasy yella hands on his boy's birthright. So he hid it in the one place he knew he could hide something. His ass. Five long years, he wore this watch up his ass. Then he died of dysentery, he gave me the watch. I hid this uncomfortable hunk of metal up my ass two years. Then, after seven years, I was sent home to my family. And now, little man, I give the watch to you. MazdaManiac 03-17-2005, 01:43 AM "No, son. You've got a problem because you don't know Army terminology. The place where a U.S. soldier goes to defecate, relieve himself, open his bowel, shit, fart, dump, crap, and unload, is called the latrine. The la-trine, from the French. " RX-GR8 03-17-2005, 01:47 AM "See this? [Holding a clenched fist, then striking Clifford.] A punch, a slam to the nose. Smarts, doesn't it? You get that pain shootin' through your head, your eyes fill up with water. I know it ain't any kind of fun, but for what I have to offer you, that's as good as it's gonna get. And it's never gonna get that good again. So, please, Mr. Worly, tell me where your son is. " RX-GR8 03-17-2005, 01:48 AM "One shot." (The Deer Hunter) JoePaterno 03-17-2005, 02:02 AM "See this? Speed-ER doc 03-17-2005, 02:04 AM If I can't vote for DeNiro, then Walken for sure. DeNiro in Cape Fear was the ultimate in creepy to me though. I read somewhere that Tarantino wrote this part specifically with Walken in mind. Aratinga 03-17-2005, 02:19 AM My favorite bad guy is Alan Rickman -- Hans Gruber in the original DieHard, and more recently Professor Snape in the Harry Potter films. Something about his accent... he's deliciously eeeeeevil. JoePaterno 03-17-2005, 02:23 AM My favorite bad guy is Alan Rickman -- Hans Gruber in the original DieHard, and more recently Professor Snape in the Harry Potter films. Something about his accent... he's deliciously eeeeeevil. Wow, that's pretty sad. Zaku-8 03-17-2005, 02:25 AM I wouldve voted for Dafoe if I hadn't already seen Boondock Saints. I'm not sure Walken could do a character like Dafoe's in that movie. Words dont do it justice, go rent it. It's a fairly good movie to boot. On the other hand, Walken did do that one Fatboy Slim video... priceless. Aratinga 03-17-2005, 02:31 AM Wow, that's pretty sad. Sad like, pathetic? Sorry. Walken, Dafoe, and DeNiro don't creep me out. They're just actors playing roles. And I didn't mean that Rickman as Snape scared me or anything; I was just listing that role for anybody who was still in diapers when Die Hard came out, so they'd know who I was talking about. Speed-ER doc 03-17-2005, 03:00 AM Can't forget Jack Nicholson either. His role in The Shining set the standard for creepy imo, watching him slowly go insane: Jack: Wendy, let me explain something to you. Whenever you come in here and interrupt me, you're breaking my concentration. You're distracting me. (He hits his head with the palm of his hand and rips up his manuscript) And it will then take me time to get back to where I was. Understand? Wendy: Yeah. Jack: Fine. I'm gonna make a new rule. Whenever I'm in here, and you hear me typing (he types keys to demonstrate), whether you don't hear me typing, whatever the f--k you hear me doing in here, when I'm in here, that means that I am working. That means don't come in. Now do you think you can handle that? Wendy: Yeah. Jack: Fine. Why don't you start right now and get the f--k out of here? Wendy: (swinging the bat at him with short, chopping strokes) Stay away from me! I just want to go back to my room. Jack: Why? Wendy: Well, I'm very confused. I just need a chance to think things over. Jack: You've had your whole f--king life to think things over. What good's a few minutes more gonna do you now? Wendy: Stay away from me! Please! Don't hurt me! Jack: I'm not gonna hurt ya. Wendy, darling. Light of my life. I'm not gonna hurt ya. You didn't let me finish my sentence. I said, I'm not gonna hurt ya. I'm just gonna bash your brains in. I'm gonna bash 'em right the f--k in. Kain 03-17-2005, 08:50 AM I wouldve voted for Dafoe if I hadn't already seen Boondock Saints. I'm not sure Walken could do a character like Dafoe's in that movie. Words dont do it justice, go rent it. It's a fairly good movie to boot. On the other hand, Walken did do that one Fatboy Slim video... priceless. "THERE WAS A FIREFIGHT!!!!" Dafoe as Bobby Peru in "Wild at Heart" was about as creepy as he gets! MR2_Spyder 03-17-2005, 11:47 AM YES, but it wasn't "he gave me the watch." It was "he gimme da watch." Hahahahaha... That's funny. I was thinking the same thing when I was reading the quote. MR2_Spyder 03-17-2005, 12:07 PM I think Gary Oldman's a weird dude, too. Why would anybody find DeNiro creepy? http://www.americanphoto.co.jp/photosearch/Previews/CIN01276_C211.jpg Toadman 03-17-2005, 01:02 PM Walken can be pretty creepy. Anyone with that un-blinking "thousand-yard stare" is pretty creepy. Don't leave out Anthony Hopkins also. PaulieWalnuts 03-17-2005, 01:12 PM Deniro, Defoe and Nicholson and the rest are all mostly intimidating. Walken is intimidating and creepy. JoePaterno 03-17-2005, 01:39 PM I think Gary Oldman's a weird dude, too. Why would anybody find DeNiro creepy? http://www.americanphoto.co.jp/photosearch/Previews/CIN01276_C211.jpg Yea, DeNiro isn't "creepy." RX-GR8 03-17-2005, 02:05 PM Yea, DeNiro isn't "creepy." no? MR2_Spyder 03-17-2005, 02:12 PM James Spader's a freak, too. burnoutking999 04-07-2005, 10:27 AM You are all wrong!!. The movie about the war between satan and the angels set in the dessert town with walken was f-up creepy. It also had the guy off the lord of the rings(striker) and hildalgo as satan. walken made me watch like this  through the whole movie. No More Oldsmobiles 04-07-2005, 06:58 PM That was "Prophecy." He was pretty creepy in that one. doccable 04-17-2005, 09:17 AM Another Walken quote: "Gave you my word? I'm a criminal Jimmy, my word don't mean dick." -Things to do in Denver when you're dead |
