No they don't. They consider it a wearable part and even if you were to kill it in 1000 miles they would probably just cite driver error. However should something else break and cause premature clutch wear you may be able to fight them into giving you a new clutch. I wouldn't worry about it though, you shouldn't have any problems from normal driving just don't do 2 mintue burnouts or anything stupid.

Wrong, the warranty is for 12,000 miles/12 months.

I stand corrected, I asked the dealer when I picked mine up if it was covered at all and I was told "absolutley not". The dealer has been generally good with helping me out so I don't think they were just screwing with me, but who knows.

yeah, its covered for 12,000 miles or 12 months whichever comes first. I know this because ive dealt with my transmission so many freaking times. Also there was another thread the other day where they refused to fix his clutch until he got lawyers involved. They analyzed the users manual and found that it does have a warranty :p

although, i could be wrong.

i don't how Mazda handles their warranty situations. but working at BMW, even if the clutch is burnt out by the driver, we still cover it under the new car warranty. now if the idiot left his oil cap loose and oil happened to splash out, run down into the transmission bell housing, and ruin the clutch...then it would obviously be customer pay. then again, this is BMW, who IMO has the best warranty i've seen yet. but isn't that what you'd expect from the ultimate driving manufacturer?

Not exactly- it's covered for 12k miles at the discretion of the dealer-- if it's obviously destroyed from abuse, they likely won't honor it (burnouts, 7000k RPM clutch drops, etc).

I contacted Mazda Corp about 2 months ago. There's a 12000/12 Month Warranty on the clutch.

No... it's a limited warranty. Do a search and see how many people on this board have had problems getting their tranny/clutch fixed because of suspected abuse.
