First the sad part...

My brother lost his first child in the womb and it hurt our family very much. He would have been the first baby in the family and we all miss him, his name was Brandon.

The uplifting part...

My brother and sister in law had babies almost at the same time and they have been such a blessing to us all. It's been SO much fun playing with them and watching them grow. They are very good babies...they pretty much do as they are told (while they are still babies so we know they will not be perfect).

Even when great pain come in life...great joy is always near by. The love we have for those two babies (Elijah & Natalie) has brought us MUCH joy while dealing with other pain in our lives. Children are a blessing and while they know little about the world they are born into...they can teach adults with so much life experiance...yet another lesson, yet another why to look at things.

I THANK GOD for those two little souls in our lives....we LOVE THEM SO MUCH!!!!

But really, I agree totally with Feras in his thread, some of the threads lately have gone far beyond being just passionate expressions of opinion to downright rude, crude, inconsiderate and frequently insulting. Elara closed a thread yesterday because it had become too angry, and it will happen again if everyone doesn't just chill.

As for my happy story, it's sunny and nice in L.A. today, no rain on he horizon, and baseball season is close. :)

happiness story: i bought a freaking new laptop today! a toshiba tecra A4 with a 15.4" 1600x1000 resolution screen, pentium M, geforce 6600, 512ram and 80gig hard drive....very exciting to me, i have a light lanning computer. Its been hell fitting my computer in my rx8 since ive gotten my rx8 (my computer is large with a giant monitor, perfect powerhouse lanning machine). It used to fit perfectly in my 626, but the rx8 has been a nuisance. But now im getting a laptop!!! :) :) :) :)

Laptops are the only way to go, dude! I've always had a laptop for a home computer, and even have one here for my office! I can take BOTH of them wherever I go!

i never owned a laptop but the latest computer i built for myself has an athlon mobile chip in it. these are primarily used for laptops but i put one in my desktop computer because they run cooler and are easy to overclock! :)

Here's a little known fact of Judaism. It's known as a "mitzvah"(a holy deed or act) to have "marital relations" on Shabbat, or the sabbath, which of course begins at Sundown on Friday and ends at sundown on Saturday.

Today, two of our three boys were out of school with the creeping crud, so I stayed home with them this evening while she took the one well one and went to services.
