My RX-8 order has been given a VIN # and is being shipped, but it appears now that I will not be able to purchase the vehicle (unfortunately, money is tighter than I expected). I had ordered a red one with all the packages and the dealer has agreed to sell it to me at MSRP with no markups. Anyone out there interested in taking this vehicle?

Zio,

I think you have it all wrong. Shelleymeister is being polite by offering her pre-order.

I doubt she put any money down on the car. She could walk off scott free and let the dealer sell it with a mark-up.

I hope you were joking. We're here to help each other out and not gaining from someone else's expense.

I apologize for the sermonette....

I did leave a deposit (fully refundable). I am trying to help someone out who might want to seriously purchase an RX-8 at no markup. Thanks

it'll be plain stupid to have your car ship back to me when it arrives in the west coast first...

Shelleymeister, you said "all the packages" but didn't specify. Does this mean Grand Touring + Appearance + Navigation?

It's too bad you have to part with it. But, maybe you can still get one without the additional $6000 (!) in options.

To clarify......everything EXCEPT navigation!
I would not be interested in the lower powered version.....

I would not be interested in the lower powered version.....

If I'm not mistaken, the base offers the same performance as an all-options model. Did you mean something else by 'lower powered version' or am I wrong?

She's probably differentiating between the 6MT and auto.....

I see, I didn't know the retail was ~$1500 less on the auto (according to KBB). Wouldn't blame ya :(
