Hello. Just joined this forum. There's a lot of good stuff in here.

I placed an order for a Sport Package 6MT. I was supposed to be in the 3rd allocation. Oct/Nov delivery time frame. Just got an update from my dealer. My order now has an estimated built date of Aug WK1. Has anyone heard anything that are in the 2nd or 3rd allocation? Also, I have not heard anything from Mazda directly. Has anyone else?

Mine is in the second allocation and was built on 5/30.

Mine also was a second allocation. Built on 05/30.

You probably won't receive anything from Mazda for approx. 3 weeks, maybe sooner.

1rst email: Confirms your order

2nd email: In August (sometime) will assign your vin.

3rd email: Will tell you your car has been built and ready to be shipped.

That's all I know.

Hum! From reading the threads, it doesn't seem it takes that long to build the car. I guess it all depends on when that second ship leaves Japan and how many 8s it actually will carry. If my estimated built date is any accurate, my 8 won't be here until Sept/Oct. Oh the agony.

Tank, any expectation (guess-timation) on when your car will arrive?

Mine was 1st allocation, but not built until 5/30. Missed the first three boats - don't know when it will ship.......

Mine is a 6MT Sports package as well. Another 6MT Sport package from the same dealer, ordered the same day (supposedly) was on the first boat.

There is no rhyme or reason to it, or the dealers didn't order them when they say they did..........

BUT, it WILL be worth the wait!

I emailed RX-8order and of course I got the, "Sorry, we don't have your order in our system...Blah, Blah, Blah."

I'll just have to hold my breath and hope Mazda stays on the ball.

How do you know it missed all 3 boats? I thought only one boat left so far... My car's build date was something like 6/5,, with VIN ending in 2787. My guess was that mine would get here sometime late July early August? I'm I mistaken here? Anybody have insight on this?

RX Guy- Unfortunately, I honestly have no clue as to how long it will be before it is actually delivered. I stopped in at my dealer this week and he pulled up the status report, which showed built "at the factory." My dealer has 3 preorders from the first allocation that are "on water" with an estimated arrival date of week 3 in July.

According to the fleet manager, the reports tend to be very conservative and often their cars show up 1-2 weeks prior to the estimated dates. With that said, the first allocation cars could theoretically show up the first week of July. I am roughly estimating mine will be 4 weeks behind putting me into the first to second week of August.

Tank, what makes you think the 2nd allocation will be four weeks behind? I have a build date of 6/4 and hope mine makes the next boat. In fact, I think me and brothervoodoo are in the same boat (pun intentional) because our sequence #'s are so close.

I just want my car before August. God, I hope that's possible.
