yea, im planning to get the racing beat exhaust, intake (not sure which yet), tints, clear corners, hyper-white fog lights, upgrade stereo and rims for now. planning to start in the beginning of spring so weather is better. what goodies are you planning to get for your 8?

my canzoomer is getting delivered today and i am working on a deal that should get me the b and b exhaust by the end of the week...if your interested in helping or watching while i change the exhaust your welcome to come by my garage....i could pm you my addy when i get the exhaust

i saw a guy getting out of a black one in a driveway a few days ago when i dropped off a friend at home, i honked and he waved. thats all the 8's i have seen driving in a while

Nice, Its gonna sound badass... well the reason I might not make it is because i'm antisipating on spending a good amount of time at the dealer finalizing paperwork and crap. I already took care of most of it a couple weeks ago, so we'll see how long i'm there. If I dont make it, maybe we can all get together for my Greddy SP2 install which should be soon.

that works for me too....either way i think we should all meet up in the near future.....im also hearing rain tomorrow and the tri-state meet is tomorrow...so if its pushed back a week i may be able to go to it....and if i do go i wanna have my exhaust installed....so if i put it on myself then we could have a meet when you install yours

my 8 is in the shop right now... still repairing from the accident when i got rear ended in traffic... but while repairing, i got them to install ms bodykit with b&b exhaust and rp midpipe... should be done middle of next week? :mad: haven't had my 8 in over a week... it's killing me.. wish i can make it but like he said, let me know if u guys have another meet :)

4/3 seems to be a good day to meet...if not then tobay on 4/10

I'm heading down to AC April 22nd. Depending on how the tables treat me, I'll order the SP2 and a new pair of shoes for the 8. Otherwise, I'll just order the exhaust. I'll keep everyone posted so we can setup a mini meet for the install.

I was driving home from the dealer last night in the poring rain, when I was about 15 minutes from my house and the check engine light started blinking. By the time I pulled in to my driveway it was just a solid light that won't go away. I called the salesman to bitch because I was pissed and he said to bring it back as soon as possible.

i flipped out thinking i had a check engine light but was a low pressure sensor.
i dont know whats wrong with me but its one of those stupid things :) :D

Well, I looked in the manual and the symbol that's lit is definitely the check engine. Someone told me that they might not have screwed the gas tank on all the way. He said it happened to him on a new Chevy Malibu and it wouldn't go away until he refilled the tank. I'm going to give it a try. I'm taking it easy anyway because it's still brand new so hopefully I'm not worsening the problem if it is anything major.

tank = cap... that would really suck if the tank was loose...

its all good....thats why i make sure when filling up (all be it quite often) that i hear the guy click it a few times....

yea, same here. i always make sure the guy clicks it a few times when he closes the cap.

Finally got the car back... It turns out the ECU needed to be reflashed with an update. The phantom error message the tech received was "misfire on cylinder 1" thats funny because there are no cylinders. The dealer gave me a brand new ipod for my troubles so I guess it worked out alright.

yea.. their shop is on route 46 east side in lodi area... their main work is on rotaries... but in my opinion... they overcharge =T i go there all the time to look at the black 2nd gen rx-7 and some parts :) i asked them how much it would be to install a flywheel... they said $571... whereas my friend in another garage said he can do it for me for $300 even :confused: (i didn't buy a flywheel yet but i just asked for prices lol)

yeah i heard they are a little expensive but if they do good work i dont mind.i had my car at acosta last summer and the work they did was out of this world they did the worst job anyone can do thats why iam so picky now.those people at acosta cant even weld right !!!!
i wish you cold see the work they did to my 8 you would cry !!!
