I have the same problem when I wash my car.The rotors rust after a little while when it touches water so I would like the answer to this question until I change my brake system.

why is this in the multimedia and photogallery

lil Ben do a search there is LOTS about it

the rotors are cast iron...the will rust after being wet guaranteed...just brake a few times it will self clean...but for corrosion on the caliper and around the inner ring of the rotor (where the brake pad DOES NOT touch) simple brush clean with brake cleaner too...then use caliper paint to protect...will last about a year depending on quality of high temp paint

there isn't a whole lot you can do...when you hit the brakes any rust where the pads goes will dissapear.
