I just washed my 8 when...

How many here have a story of just washing your beloved 8 and then something happening right after?

My stupid *** neighbor whose balcony is above my driveway always pours something over the railing so it lands on the hood of my car. EVERY TIME I WASH HER! Last time it was something resembling baby formula. Whatever it was solidified on the cement where it bounced off my car. I complained and he hasn't done it again so far......

This didn't directly happen to me but it happened next to me when I lived in Pompano Beach, Florida. I saw a car pull out of the car wash (after being washed) and I let it turn in front of me. As we drove down the street she changed lanes and ended up next to me at the stop light. Nice sunny summer day. Windows down...sunroof open. All of the sudden, BOOM. The driver of the just washed car starts screaming. I was already looking for the source of the sound since it was so loud and seemed so close. When I looked her way, there was a dead seagull crashed into the hood of her car. Apparently it died in mid-air and dive-bombed directly into her hood. I stayed with her when the police and animal control showed up. You should have seen the dent in the hood. Seagull guts everywhere on the hood and window. It was hard not to laugh because she had the %@# scared out of her and she was shaking. Especially when I would see the police and animal control turning their head and laughing hysterically.

a flock of geese flew over .... oh lord what a mess ... nothing more disgusting.

We live about a block from a large public park with several lakes and a wetland, and the geese congregate there - we're constantly getting "shitbombed" by the flying geese, and goose crap is awful - looks like grass clippings mixed with cream cheese.

So I had just finished washing AND waxing my 8, and was standing back, drinking a beer, admiring the work, and getting all the last "bits" of wax off it, when "HONK HONK HONK HONK" a flock of geese scares up out of the park to our west, appears over the houses across the street at about 75 feet of altitude, headed straight for us - I bolt for cover in the garage as they go by - splat splat splatting everywhere as they fly by - at least 7 splats on the 8.

So, spent another hour washing it again and waxing it again ...

My cat jumped up on the car to lick the water off before I had dried her (the car) off. Cat tracks from the trunk to the hood. This resulted in one VERY wet cat as I turned the hose on him, the twit.

Another time, while washing, I tried to beat an approaching thunderstorm, which turned into a hailstorm. While getting pelted with ice, I put blankets all over her and tied them down with a garden hose... It's all that was handy!

My wife caught me hugging her (my car) with the doors closed on me, like in the commercial! I just couldn't resist. :p For a brief second, I actually felt guilty. HA! :D

LOL! These are funny. I have washed my car many a time and only to drive down the street and have people in front of me use their washer fluid while going 45-50 mph and spraying all over my hood and top.

Around here we have about 6 months where it is practically guaranteed not to rain. It's during the transition months where car washing takes on a VooDoo nature. Washing your car is guaranteed to spawn an early or late-season rain shower.

Ah, life is so hard sometimes :p

Guy in front of me in a beat-up old Ford van decides to empty his filthy ashtray at a stop light.
I had just washed her and had the sunroof open. Tried closing sunroof quickly, but hand/eye coordination isn't what it use to be.
Needless to say I had ash and crap on my freshly clean 8 and ashes flying all over inside.
People can be so stupid sometimes!

Alka-seltzer :D

Throw Alka-seltzer tablets into a flock of seagulls. They'll eat it up. They can't burp, so as it fizzes they expand, pop..... and likely fall out of the sky onto the hood of some chick's car in Pompano Beach! :D

Disclaimer: I haven't actually done this, partially to not have exploding seagulls over my head on the beach and partially because I wouldn't waste the $ on an Alka-seltzer for a damn seagull.

I washed my car after a month without washing, and the next day those horrendous rain storms hit Los Angeles, with hail and more than 5 inches of rain! I hate when that happens!

I wash my car and then go to the gym. I park the car far away from the gym where no other cars are parked. I come out of the gym and there is an old man throwing bread on the ground right next to my car. There are seagulls everywhere and birdshit all over my car. I was so pissed that I didn't even say anything to that old man.

full interior detail once, stopped at a stop sign on a 70 degree day, calm and sunny. Windows and sunroof open, of course.

As soon as I stop, this gust of wind picks up a pile of leaves on the corner, and dumps them in my car. I just sat there stunned, and my passenger laughed his *** off.

Really?!?!? I had no idea. That explains the excessive white foam all over the hood. I told her it must be rabies.
