I pre-ordered using the website only without going to see anyone in FRF mazda Swansea who I decided would be my 'local' dealership.

After a couple of weeks I thought it best I warn them to expect another RX8 coming to their dealership. It took a good few days for anyone in sales to talk to me on the phone (the usual promises of a call back in 5 mins.) After finally talking to them they have now sent me an order form (but no instructions what I should do with it.) Has anyone else here just used the website to pre-order or has everyone filled in an order form as well?

I used the website alone. I've spoken to my dealer since but they've had no part in the transaction. I have an accepted order.

Thanks for the reply Lensman. I wondered why I should go through a paper process when they took the £1000 deposit already. I'm a bit suspicious about this so may call the helpline to see if this form is necessary. It smells to me a bit like the salesman wants confirmation to get his commission.:confused:

I ordered purely through the website.

I did call my selected dealer a week or two later just to check they had the car on their system and I hadn't paid £1,000 to Mr Mazda.co.uk

Eventually they confirmed the order had been placed and they were expecting delivery in............................(they didn't and still don't know for sure)
