i dug myself out of my stupid lease and got rid of my rx8 today. i have a fully financed 05 Blue WRX Premium with 23 miles on it and its great. at least i have a factory turbo to play with now. the biggest burden of my life is now gone (the lease) and im happy now. its too bad i had to part from my rx8 like this but sometimes we gotta move on and stuff. i had to roll over some negative but i paid off a piece of it to help soften the blow. at least my payments went down some! :D

You know when I was looking to buy my RX8 they talked to me about a lease and while "somtimes" it works out better in the long run you really have to have SUPER credit to make it work better than buying the car.
What's funny and kind of insulting was this one dealership. They did their 4 squares, I'll take this to the "boss" routine and came back with:
$697 per month on a 48 month lease
Giving my car as a trade in
Giving them $3,000 down
I almost slaped the guy!
Anyway, I'm begining to think that these Mazda dealerships are hurting sales of the RX8 or selling them while giving a HUGE shaft to the Mazda customers.

I'm glad u were able to get out of your bad lease. As mentioned before, I'm in the same situation. I want to get out of it, but I love the RX8. You would have been in love too, if you didn't get an auto. You obviously have no concept of the rotary engine. Have fun driving your box on wheels. :)

i think rotary engines are awesome but not coupled with a lease and an AT. my new scooby is a 5 speed and financed thank god!

That is awesome Ironmedic. One day I'll get out of my lease. For now, sitting tight to see what Mazda comes up with for 06.
