Sweet sweet sweet sweet sweet sweet sweet.......Has everyone else got this e-mail.......its a surprise to me because I never got all of the "your order has been excepted"...or "any other e-mail.......3-8 weeks....we made it guys!!!

At present, your Mazda RX-8 is being shipped from our Hiroshima plant in Japan to your local destination port. In about 3-8 weeks, depending on where you live and shipping schedules, the port will release your car and it will be on its on the way to the dealer! We'll let you know as soon as that happens so that you can make arrangements to pick it up.

Just got mine an hour ago! Of course, I already knew that, but it does make me feel good that they are confirming it. Check out my other thread regarding the West Coast Ship and schedule. I "researched" that this morning. It is all coming together - thank God! The wait is nearing the end:D

No I never got any other e-mail. Also....good ol' Fubar checked my VIN today and confirmed it was on the Boat to port in New Jersey.........what the last 4 in your VIN.......everything below 1400 seems to be on the way.

They must be sending this status out even if the car is not officially on water as according to ibfubar2000, as of Saturday my vehicle had a New VIN status.

The car was BUILT 06/02/03, just not on the water yet. I am in the second allocation. So everything is perfect.

Thanks for the kind words Stu. Down to the last few agonizing weeks.

I got a date of June 3, 2003 as a build date and the day we got our VIN # assignment, fubar (thank you again) returned info that the car was already "destined" or already shipped to the U.S./CA. So, does this mean that all cars from 5/23 to 6/02 are the first shipment?? Or is this another Mazda misinformation concerning build dates to actual ship dates? Or am I just plumb wrong? :o)

say what? You will get your VIN either from your dealer, if you did the pre-order email thingy correct, an automated email from mazda..
