a few brief answers:

Most of us haven't seen one in person, much less touched or driven one. Very few showrooms in the world have yet had one sitting on them for even a day. Some of us have driven to shows, sometimes great distances, to just see and sit in one at a show. I tried twice - terrible cold and terrible rain turned me back twice for 6 - 8 hour trips. Depending on location and dealer, you may be able to get one after the start arriving very late this month but more likely sometime in July. Given you are in CA, if markup and gouging is as prevalent as some indicate it may be more difficult to acquire one before about September. If you were here around DC you could get one from several of our dealers here very soon I think. The aftermarket has always been very strong for RX-7s and I suspect that will be just as true for the RX-8. There will be enough factory supplied and aftermakert supplied 'toys' to suit with the only real limitation being how much more $ you want to put in the car. A local dealer near you should have brochures by now - most of them got those about a week ago. Welcome, good luck.
