i was awoken this morning to a call from my sister that my mom had passed suddenly. she had been admitted yesterday(wednesday) for pneumonia. she did not make it 1 day in the hospital. she had said monday she didn't feel well and felt like she had the flu. i have a great void in my life now one i'm not sure i'll ever recover from. i'm writing here because there are a few people here that might care and want to know. i can't believe she's gone that fast. i had just seen her last weekend and she seemed fine. she has been sick alot in her life but never once complained. she has had pneumonia about 5 years ago, breast cancer, another form of cancer when i was a child that required radiation treatment and over the years casued facial nerve damage. 2 years ago she had a brain anyuerism and had tiny balloons instered into an artery on 1 side of her head to prevent hemoraghing. she never complained but was always there if i needed to talk. i miss her already...

I lost my mom when younger, it sucks, but remember, it's part of life. She'd want you to carry on and enjoy life.

Very sorry to hear this- it's an awful experience, no matter what the circumstances, when you lose a parent. I wish you all the best in this- it's not easy, ever, but it gets better.

It takes a strong person to have gone through so much and not let it affect others around them. I'm sorry for your loss. Accept my condolences.

I am so sorry to hear about the loss of your mother. Your strength has really been tested this last year. Words can never take away your pain, but I hope that knowing people care can help make it easier for you. Your friends are always here for you.

I feel for you and hope you can remember the good times and the joys you shared with your mother. Maybe these happy times you two shared can help you in some way.

Regards

This will become one of the more difficult things you will have to endure. I lost my mother last November 13th, and the pain of her passing still exists. I miss her very much.

We still talk, but in a different way. Have comfort knowing she is no longer suffering with her physical body.

My thoughts are with you.

I'm so sorry to hear of your loss Rob. My deepest sympathies to you and your family.

At least you got too see before she passed. My mom is an 8 hour drive to NY and wish I could see her when ever she needs help. I keep on telling her to move closer to my sister or even myself so we could be closer. Yes she is in a better place and is out of any pain and worries, at least it wasn't a long painful drawn out process.

God speed

Yeah, I know I'm way late here. Just checkin' on one of my best buddies, and found this...

Sounds like, although it was sudden, your mom was prepared for it a long long time ago. She's now in a better place.

It's a hard thing to get through, I know. May God give you peace, strength and understanding as you endure this hard loss.
