Considering some will be picking up their 8' relatively soon, it may be a good idea to put together a universal 'check list' so that we can all benefit from knowing what to look for/ ask when picking up our new cars especially as dealers are all franchises and will not offer a standard service.

Check for dents scratches fit and finish. Check interior for same. Turn on radio make sure the speackers don't make cracking sound. Make sure gas tank full. this is just off the top of my head

I know when I picked up my last new car 18 months ago the major contributors from that forum got together and posted a list of the obvious and, more important, not so obvious point to consider including short test drive and CD play. The list was surprsingly long.
