Hi Thew,

I was told you might be able to help me out on a question I have. Here is a post that I placed in one of the other forums and was told to come see you. Any help you can give would be very appreciated.

------------------------------
Is there any kind of protocol converter that plugs into the Bose system in a 2005 RX8 that has Pioneer IP-Bus on the other end? I am asking because I would like to add XM radio and an MP3 Jukebox to my system. I already have a Pioneer GEX900XM XM receiver left from a previous install and I read on the Neo website that they have a converter that will make their unit look like a Pioneer CD changer that is compatible with IP-BUS. If I could find someway to get the Bose HU to speak IP-BUS I would be in great shape!

Soon PIE will have that very box on the market. But as of yet it does not exsits..

The only adapter is the PIE to Alpine m bus. and there are a few copyes of the PIE box out there to. But its still based on the Alpine M bus. I have talked to PIE about this and they will be relseing the units for Pioneer soon. You can see them on there web site.. theres a link on my site to PIE..

Ok, before I get excited, let me make sure I understand you correctly. You are saying they will be coming out with an adapter that will essentially make my Bose HU look like a Pioneer HU to the GEX900XM and the adapter for the Neo that makes it look like a Pioneer? So I should be able to accomplish what I am trying to do based on what I said in the original posting? If this is true, you just made my weekend!

Do you have any idea based on past experience with them how fast they will be moving on this?

Thanks much,
Carlton
