Uhh not the color of the car... look at the wheels.

I owned a Manual car (1993 RX-7), and currently another (G35)... it's all a matter of preference. Manual if I use it on the weekend, Auto when I drive through the traffic... besides, it's not like the RX-8 is a true sports car... even if it's yellow

Next time you want to attack someone, check the picture first...

"Bling Bling" in US terms means someone flashy.. or in this instance, using flashy cheesy wheels....

 

aww, LL lets not start a war btwn at and mannys now. i do agree that the chrome rims on any 8 is a tad too much, i doubt he's attacking the color just more of its choice in rims.

You should see this other Red one with 20" wheels .. Lexanis I think. Oh man it was terrible. It was a complete spinner type... in Australia... didn't think Spinners were a big thing there... only in So Cali on SUVs... but oh it was terrible.. had to wash my eyes out.

But ya, I tend to be a Jackhole... Lightens the mood a bit. Could have thrown some feces back at Lock and Load, but I can understand how he can have misread my post... though he should still have checked out the picture first.

 

Guys the ride belongs to a forum member that happens to be a tough NewZealender of Maori origin WHO WORKS AS A PANEL BEATER FOR EZZY A MEMBER FROM SYDNEY , and thats his girlfriend on the pic .

I must admitt i jumped the gun and did not look at the pic properly , so i may have been a bit hasty in my reply , but the wheels are a bit over the top IMHO .

However If i had to decide between those wheels or drive an Automatic id say give me them wheels anytime . :p

Good bargain wheels there. I bought the 19's for the Cosmo from them.

As for yellow RX-8's............ The more colours the better I reckon. ......

I like them, wouldn't have a yellow one but its definately an "out there" sort of colour

 

havent seen that pic for a while.... :D thats the second set of wheels she got within 12 months of ownership.
as DMRH mentioned, the pic came from tempe tyres, sydney australia's biggest wheels and tyres company/supplier. my 8 is in their gallery section as well :D
she is the owner of the yellow 8. both her and her boyfriend are my close friends. the boyfriend have a white Jap spec S8 RX7. she is an ex-australian pethouse pet and now a sexy swimming wear company owner, does model promotion works as well.
anyway, i'd have a clean 8 with lowered suspension and dumpped on its **** anyday thats one sight you dont see often here in sydney australia

Love the hot babe, love the yellow car, not a fan of those wheels ... although I'd bet the stock wheels would look pretty damn good chromed. Those are just too much though.

 

Like I said again, I'm not saying anything about the Yellow color... which is fine. I'm not saying anything wrong with the girl in the pic... heck I'd take the girl over the car and the wheels and the color... that guy is pretty lucky to have a girlfriend that is a penthouse girl. Just saying that the rims are a bit over the top... Yet you brought his origin as if that should threaten anyone to comment about his car.

Also, you keep bringing up the automatic as if there is something wrong. It clearly wasn't because I don't know how to drive a Manual... since I've owned 3 in the past, and 1 currently. It's not because I'm poor... let's just say if I had to go buy a manual RX-8 each month for the rest of the year to get all the colors including yellow... it wouldn't even make a dent in my savings. But seriously, the Rx-8 isn't a sports car... even with 247Hp over the 198hp... it's still not going to be the fastest car on the road.

That's not very nice. Just cuz we have auto you degrade us like no other. But yet it still the same rx8. Some people got auto's for multiple reasons.

 

when my car was out of comission for a couple of weeks i was stuck with a silver auto rx8....it was fun...i drive in traffic sometimes and this was a huge advantage over my 6speed...

 

I think she needs those granny sunglasses so she doesn't go blind from the "bling".

BTW, I've been driving a stick (that sounds really gay) for so long that when I drove my parents' Maxima the other weekend, I forgot what I was driving and almost ate it when I went to downshift and mistook the brake as the clutch. There's nothing wrong with having an automatic. I think the paddles are cool as Hell.

 

 

You sure those are 22s? I didn't think that's even possible... 20s I believe... but 22's.. DANG.. that's true balla.

 

Wonder how much those weigh, can't do much for unsprung weight. Oh well, it's their car and their money, just not to my taste.

 

Those wheel would be better off on a luxury sedan, a mercedes or so, but not on a 8. Automatic or manual it doesnt matter, every one has their reasons for it, maybe a bummed knee for example. But yeah, those wheels on the 8 are ugly

there's nothing wrong with an auto 8. if i have to travel in peak hour traffic everyday, than i'd consider the auto option.

i think what L&L tried to say was that in his opinion, that set of wheel arent too bad when compared to an auto 8. personal choice/taste. its like you come up here and say eww.... thats a ugly set of wheels. you may even find my 8 ugly according to your "standards"

1. they are 20 x 8.5 all round.
2. i have seen worse wheels on an 8 in here than that.
3. like being said many time in this thread, it is not a true sports car that we have hoped, and she certainly not using it for whats intended back from the jap house, so who cares about the weight.
4. wheels are a personal choice, its cool if you dont like, its not the end of the world. there are better thing to waste your time on, like get your gf/wife/misstress a present for the 14th
