There was a post eons ago concerning this kit. Of all the pics of all the kits that people have posted on this site, that is the one that has been ripped on the most. I suppose there is a level of refinement and functionality that MOST RX8 owners want in an aftermarket kit, partly because we've all been trying SO hard to avoid the "rice" stigma, and largely because most owners are not 17-18 kids who think a huge spoiler and aftermarket rims make a car go faster. This kit IMO, and the opinions of many others, is probably the riciest kit available for the RX8. I mean, come on, that spoiler makes me want to tie a rope to it and go paragliding. I'm not even going to get started on the front. I don't mean to be rippinig on you, okay, I do a little. But, you're just fishing for prices. It just frustrates me that a company would even make this beastly kit. Please don't embarass the RX8 community by putting this on your car. Try the Autobahn kit or Racing Beat, or even Veilside.

what are you talking about?? Abflug = rice? are you kidding me? Abflug is as jdm as it gets and is a reputable company in Japan. Next time please check your sources before saying anything like that. I think you have mistaken this for wing west or something

Dude, I don't care who the company is. If that kit is as JDM as it gets, then I never want anything JDM. Doesn't JDM represent equipment found on a Japanese spec auto (like clear corners etc)? So if an American company makes a kit for the RX8, does that make it a USDM product? You're telling me that that kit isn't rediculously over the top? It doesn't matter who makes a kit. If it's rice, it's rice. That front could be used to plow snow. I never said Abflug=rice. I said this kit was rice.

That Wing is pretty ricey. I'm sure you could see these on some STis or EVO VIIIs.

You should consider that Abflug makes kits for all the top end cars in Japan. No one cares what you think, I'm pretty sure you can't even define what rice really is. Why bad mouth a company you have no idea about. The kit is made from Abflug and you said the kit is rice, so you are refering to Abflug as being rice. I'm sickj of people just labeling everything rice. Eventually every modification that isnt mild will be rice. PLease go and read over some Japanese magazine about reputable tuning and aero companies in Japan and come back and talk to me. It is obvious you have no clue of the Japanese import scene.

First off, I'm not bad mouthing the company. They have some wicked products for all kinds of cars, especially Supras (namely the S900), and they aren't mild at all. I said the kit sucks. It is above and beyond functional. A cow catcher front end with a late 60s Charger-esque spoiler = rice. It isn't the quality of the product that makes it rice, it's the design. The rims...those are awesome. I'd love to have them on my 8. Second, you don't have an f'ing clue who I am and what I know, so don't make assumptions. Just because I'm from the midwest doesn't mean I'm not in the loop. Third, you obviously care what I think or you wouldn't be so adamantly defending Abflug.

Anyway, stop wastiing your energy on this. You have your opinion, I have mine. We're each entitled. But, if you were to poll members whether this kit would fly in the U.S. you'd find that my opinion is closer to the majority.
BTW, you had a run-on sentence in your little rant there.

I'm glad someone finally did a search for more info on this company before posting a comeback. Regarding your statement on the ricey kit. If you can't define that "rice" means, then why label a kit "rice"

Yea you really are thinking way to deep into this. I mean if you don't like it then you have nothing to worry about it b/c it's not going on your car, right? Further more like you said I was only fishing prices, I like the side skirts and the front. So if I invested in anything on this kit it would be those two parts only. I'm not all that hott about the back and most definately about the spoiler. I don't prefer HUGE spoilers myself. I'm not the most knowledgeable about the RX-8 and I don't know everything about mods that can increase performance but I'm smart enough to know the kit and spoiler won't help in that dept. And even if we were to poll this kit as rice or not and you're opinion was with the majority would it really make you feel that much better? Could you sleep better at night that way? I tell you what let me help you out a bit. " I Think The Kit Is Very Ricey Looking". Happy now? And plasee feel free to go thorugh my "rant" and mkae all the garmemr eidts yuo'd lkie.

By the way I'm 18 (-:
