I had a choice of three dealerships to put down as my main dealer and plumped for the Swansea one. When I spoke to them today I asked how many others they had pre-ordered and his reply was eight. I'm sure if I had gone to my closest dealership to home (in Carmarthen) the number would be much lower. It sort of demonstrates to me though that I'm going to be in a pretty exclusive club in the area for a while at least.

How many other members know the number of pre-orders at their dealership? Are you going to run into RX8's on every other bend or once in a blue moon?:D

I don't know how many have been placed at the dealership (mine is in Exeter), but when I spoke to them last week the guy mentioned that there were over 1000 across the UK.

when i pre-ordered mine in St Albans (granted it was back in Feb/March it was 13)

may well have exceeded that, since my order number is 174 i would say that that is now around 650 ish from reading here.

My dealer said 680ish last weekend when I ordered (total, not his personal sales ). But that may have been a few weeks out of date.

Will find out my order number on saturday.

I too am st.Albans (Milcars) and they have now done at least 23 (and that was 3 weeks ago)

My dealer in birmingham sold all their first allocation of 10, but last time I went in (to get my book) they had been allocated a few more and had sold them all bar one or two.

Leeds JCT600 said 31 before I ordered mine so 32 now. He said this was currently the largest number of orders from all dealers.

There were about 75 orders or so when I placed mine back at the end of April.

This was across all 3 (or is it 4?) T W White & Sons branches...

As of last week I was the only one at the Mazda dealers in Cleethorpes, N. E. Lincolnshire. They have had a fair bit of interest though. Many potential punters want to see the car, and test drive before taking the plunge!.........By that time I'll be cruisin' the streets, and they'll be in a looooong waiting list, .............hopefully.:D

It's just me in sunny Cornwall!!

I was apparently number 17 at the Leeds Mazda garage.

(it's next to the JCT600 garage, but i don't think they are the same dealership - maybe g. sargeant can correct me?

Anyway, we appear to be in the first batch or so, so hurray. :D
