Carbon Hood Question...

ok, got it from eieio for $250... not a bad deal considering quality of hood and all... just a slight bit off for my taste... is there a way to adjust my hood fitment? or should I make a small bracket to slightly raise it up on the hook in front so it lines up much better? could use your expert advise here guys... I like it a lot, and I will post pics of car as soon as it fits to my satisfaction...
Thanks!!!
(its not that big a deal, but I would like it with a little bit better fit and all... :D )

Don't listen to Seibon, i just bought the OEM style hood from them, they are fucing worst hood i never seen, leave 1 inch gap on the side and little gape in the front. they don't fit good on my mazdaspeed front bumper. when i call them up, they told me i can't exchange or return my hood! WTF is this?

by the way, yesterday i called them, and they told me all the hood are the same, they made from one model... so i believe other one won't fit good either. now I need to spend more money to fit the hood right. I bought hook lock today, hope it helps, because the gap on the side really make me feel sick, it's ugliest gap ever.

We have the SEIBON OEM carbon hood on our Project RX8 and it fits pretty good. We adjusted the latch up a little and reajusted the front bumper and it is pretty much a perfect fit. I will try and get some photos up within the week.

Today i got my hood lock in my seibon oem styel hood, now it fits good now, but it is pain in the a$$ to pop the hood because i have to pull the two pin back and then pop the hood, and when i shut the hood, i have to watch out not to smash the pin. But my hood fits now, that is all i care, and the hook lock give my car a race look, by the way i paint my lock in black.

i had the same problem with my CF hood. i just put a two washers inbetween the hood and the latch and that raised the hood just enough to where it is flush now. you can also adjust the rubber bumbers that the hood rests on when closed.

Peep this thread https://www.rx8club.com/group-buy-center-85/closed-rx8-vented-cf-hood-44720/
I'm interested in getting one too. If there enough people it could happen.
