i usually get my die cast at a wholesale store in down town LA

he has a box of 1:12 die cast yamaha that his customer didn't want

https://secure.724storefront.com/fastonecollectibles.com/store/picserve.cgi?picserve=/122026308a.jpg

let me know cuz i can get them for you, retail is 60 + bucks, he charge me 52 for mine

if i get enough people, i'll just pick up his whole box

i am not retailing, just passing a good deal

I'm a diecast car nut! Although that's a very nice looking bike, I wouldn't be interested. I sure hope they make a 1:18 scale RX-8 diecast similar to the pic below....

Are you sure? Because this is the newest version in 1:18 (bigger)scale and not like the IS300 and supra that are in 1:24 scale

I was wondering where you go to purchase your models? Are they in fact metal, or are they plastic? I have always been a fan of metal models, but have been unable to find any do-it-yourself models in any shops or online. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

The models are plastic. You can get much more detail with the plastic models. My favorite brand is Tamiya. Their level of detail is amazing. I'm just waiting for them to come out with the RX8 model.
Here are some links where you can buy metal and plastic models:

Ok, from what I've discovered on the Net, these are the Current Diecast and Plastic Models that I know of coming out for the RX-8

Plastic Model Kit 1/24 scale from Fujimi.
Plastic Rx-8 Model Kit (http://www.hlj.com/cgi-perl/hljpage.cgi?FUJ03552)

Diecast 1/18 Scale from AutoArt
Red, Yellow, Titanium Silver? That's what they have it as, but it should read Sunlight Silver.
AutoArt 1/18 Red & Yellow (http://www.autoartmodels.com/pages/oldpage/perfor3_2.htm)

AutoArt 1/18 Sunlight Silver (http://www.autoartmodels.com/pages/oldpage/perfor4.htm)

Diecast 1/43 Scale from AutoArt
Yellow, Red, Blue, Silver
AutoArt 1/43 Yellow, Red, Blue, Silver (http://www.autoartmodels.com/pages/oldpage/street43.htm)

Diecast 1/64 Scale from AutoArt
AutoArt Juniors 1/64 Red & Yellow (http://www.autoartmodels.com/pages/oldpage/junior.htm)

Diecast 1/43 Scale from Epoch MTech
Every current RX-8 Color, except the mutant blue from X-men.
Brilliant Black, Sunlight Silver, White, Titanium Gray, Nordic Green, Lighting Yellow, Winning Blue, & Velocity Red.

I don't have a link for these, because I haven't been able to find a site that sells them. I've only seen them on Ebay.

Anyone else find anything in the Scale Diecast & Plastic models for the RX-8.

Allright, I'm a 1/64 diecast nut. I have about 5000 cars of this scale and want . . . need many more. Can't wait for the RX-8 in 1/64 from AutoArt.

Here's a link to some pics of the 1/18 AutoArt Mazda RX-8. They are way at the bottom of the page and they have opening doors! http://www.horikawa-co.com/Autoa/AUT201B.html

i've got about 35 1:18 scale diecasts. I've actually had to stop buying them because I don't have anywhere to put any more of them...also the only ones i really want now are the autoarts which are all about $50 a piece.
