This month, August 2002, is supposed to be the last month of production for the final limited-edition version of the RX-7, according to Mazda's press releases last spring. Has anyone heard what day the last one will be/was built?

And has anyone heard the scheduled date for the first production version of the RX-8?

Well at the time of this post, 11:03 pm August 27, 2003, the last two F-Bodies rolled off the line if anyone cares. But from what i hear through a good friend in the Air Force, stationed in Japan is that the last RX7 is called a Spirit R and it makes a Z06 look like a sissy bitch. Ok maybe not t sissy bitch but it does have some more oomph and handling.
