The following pic shows how you can see the title of MD or MP3 on the center display.

The title can be scrolled manually to rotate a nob on the center console.

Add: This pics shows my MD player. But the Mazda says on the web site that the MP3 player can display album name, track name etc. I think the looks on the display is almost the same.

there was no question for me once i found out the MP3 would be available. i've had an MP3 cabable head unit since last summer and i don't know what i'd do if i couldn't have it in the 8! :eek:

I would guess if it reads CD-Text it'd do all of that...but how many CD's (that you don't burn yourself) have CD-Text info on them? I guess a lot of the newer ones MAY...but it's been a while since I bought a new CD.

I have not heard about the CD-text. So, I am not sure if it is possible to display that text.
Of course, truck number of the CD can be displayed.
The volume and the track number can be changed by the buttons on the steering.

I didn't know there was such an option for a mp3 player or MD (Minidisc I am assuming)

Anyone got more details on this or where I can read up on it?
