Yup, my winter wheels & tires. Milli Miglia EV-R 18x8 and 18x9 with Pirreli Winter Sport 240 tires 225/45-18 & 255/40-18 For the summer I have Axis Hiro's 19x8.5 and 19x9.5 congrats love it very nice whats next if anything Thanks Mike. Nothing else for the exterior. The only thing I have left is to find a center dash gauge pod for my gauges and then I'm done with the the look of the car. Then it's just performance upgrades. TxRx8 01-26-2005, 05:44 PM Dang, what the hell do you do for a living dude! Turbo, rims, kit... I mean fuck, I want that job! Your the man. It's over. :D Nemesis8 01-26-2005, 05:47 PM Looks like you need a runway for the thing :p Awesome LiL BenNy 01-26-2005, 05:47 PM hmm looks terrible ill do you a favor and take if for you........ =P philodox 01-26-2005, 05:49 PM Dang, what the hell do you do for a living dude! Trust me you don't want the job. I was in Iraq for 15 months as a civilian contractor.. that's how I can afford the splurge on my car. Red Devil 01-26-2005, 06:11 PM Looks great, and I'll think I'll pass on the whole civilian contractor gig. mzrx 01-26-2005, 06:28 PM phil, did you have to buy new fog light brackets with kit or you re-used the original from the stock front? thanks. philodox 01-26-2005, 06:33 PM phil, did you have to buy new fog light brackets with kit or you re-used the original from the stock front? thanks. if you wish to use foglights you have to get different brackets. they were easy to install though. they run about $67 or so from Rosenthal slllygrl10 01-26-2005, 06:42 PM phil, did you have to buy new fog light brackets with kit or you re-used the original from the stock front? thanks. I love your PUSS! Im_DANomite 01-26-2005, 07:17 PM sick man~! keep up the good work. I love your PUSS! ... mikeb 01-26-2005, 08:28 PM pretty cool you pretty much made your own mazdaspeed rx8 turbo and all Paul_in_DC 01-26-2005, 09:09 PM I love your PUSS! ... Don't go there... :D rudy8 01-26-2005, 09:11 PM hey dude like your web site...and all the mods. makes me dream about doing a turbo. hey...one question.; what is your gut feeling about having a turbo in this car? not just the rush of adreneline that comes with power, but the daily feeling of balance? does it still feel like the car you fell in love with initially, or do you feel overmodified? i only ask because i once had a 911 and i modified it so much it no longer had the balanced character of the original car even though it went like hell. great work in any case....love reading all about it! Omicron 01-26-2005, 09:25 PM Looks reeeeeeeeeeeally good Jon! philodox 01-26-2005, 09:35 PM hey dude like your web site...and all the mods. makes me dream about doing a turbo. hey...one question.; what is your gut feeling about having a turbo in this car? not just the rush of adreneline that comes with power, but the daily feeling of balance? does it still feel like the car you fell in love with initially, or do you feel overmodified? i only ask because i once had a 911 and i modified it so much it no longer had the balanced character of the original car even though it went like hell. great work in any case....love reading all about it! Overmodified? Not in the least. at 7psi you don't sacrifice any of the RX-8's "daily drivability".. it's only 240rwhp, well.. that's a lot, but still.. it's still easy to control the boost and drive around town to run errands. Looks reeeeeeeeeeeally good Jon! Thank Omicron, much appreciated. I'll have that thing ready for you by the end of the week. I'll send you a PM when it's ready. Moostafa29 01-26-2005, 10:57 PM Looks great. Do you plan on completing the rear? It would also look a little meaner with a lowered stance. Hellblazer 01-26-2005, 11:03 PM Looks good. philodox 01-26-2005, 11:04 PM Looks great. Do you plan on completing the rear? It would also look a little meaner with a lowered stance. coil overs are one of the next things on my list. I have the racing beat springs on there right now.. only lowered it by about 1/2". flip 01-26-2005, 11:10 PM nice.. nice.. NICE! :D Dookie_Rx-8 01-27-2005, 03:33 AM oh my.......now it got the power to back up its looks IZoomZoomI 01-27-2005, 03:56 AM yea are u going to complete the rear? Man, that thing would look mean with the hiros. BTW do you know if the front bar in front covering the re-bar is removable? philodox 01-27-2005, 09:27 AM yea are u going to complete the rear? Man, that thing would look mean with the hiros. BTW do you know if the front bar in front covering the re-bar is removable? No, I'm keepoing the stock rear diffuser (sp?). I don't like any other the aftermarker rear bumpers/diffusers that any of the companies have released. I am totally happy with the stock rear.. besides, it matches the lines of the MS kit very well.. that and I like the rotary accent on the rear and the 'wire mesh' look ;) I'm not quire sure what you mean by front bar in front? You'll have to explain a bit more. **EDIT** Oh.... I think I know what you mean now.. you're talking about the black plastic in front of the wire mesh. I think it is removable. I'm going to look into that in a little bit. I think it's there in case you want to connect a front license plate. If I can remove it, I will. **EDIT** flip 01-27-2005, 09:44 AM That front black plastic thingie is to cover the styrofoam piece from the crash bar (US spec only).. it is removable, but the grill would have to be replaced as well since it only comes up to that piece...there would be a huge gap if you take it off and the white styrofoam will show and look tacky.. some people tried to paint it, but.. doesn't look quite right... some people remove it completely.. not safe IMO... :) philodox 01-27-2005, 09:50 AM That front black plastic thingie is to cover the styrofoam piece from the crash bar (US spec only).. it is removable, but the grill would have to be replaced as well since it only comes up to that piece...there would be a huge gap if you take it off and the white styrofoam will show and look tacky.. some people tried to paint it, but.. doesn't look quite right... some people remove it completely.. not safe IMO... :) haha, i took out the styrofoam peice anyhow.. along with the black plastic box that covers the stock intake hose system. blocks too much airflow... by the way.. the stock oil cooler air flow guids are pretty heavy.. they are made out of pretty thick rubber, not plastic Shocka 01-27-2005, 01:50 PM looks great man. looks classy yet sporty. cant wait til the weather gets better i might need to make a trip to the NJ meets to check out ur ride. Irish_in_a_RX8 01-27-2005, 05:35 PM Nice Jon...cant wait to see in person! MTCD01 01-27-2005, 06:05 PM Looks great! It really shows the intercooler more than the stock front end. I thought you were keeping it off for the winter? Just couldn't wait for spring huh? philodox 01-27-2005, 06:12 PM Looks great! It really shows the intercooler more than the stock front end. I am jealous by th way :D philodox 01-28-2005, 08:23 AM What other gauges did you descide you were going to put in? I am jealous by th way :D All together I am shooting for 3-5 gauges. That's all dependant on if I can find the right style of gauge pods. I am using the Defi-Link Meter BF series gauges. All with white display. http://www.defi-shop.com/product/bf/bf_top.html These three at a minimum to be put center dash: Boost Exhaust Gas Temp Fuel Pressure These last two if I can find a reasonably priced gauge pod for the cigarette lighter spot: Air/Fuel Oil Temp RA-Eight 01-30-2005, 11:09 PM That looks amazing! cgrx 01-30-2005, 11:43 PM Trust me you don't want the job.
