hey im just wondering if the dealership here in Canada will get a demo car for display/test drive purpose sometime maybe in Aug or something.. anyone heard of anything?

My dealer here in Vancouver told me that the first RX-8 arrived will be for the showroom, the second one goes to his boss's friend, and I'm supposed to be getting the third one. I was really lucky though, got bumped from 11th place to 3rd!:cool:

I asked for the Nav.System! my dealer told me that no one on their pre-order list ordered a nav.sys!(i can understand why, Vancouver isn't dat hard to get around, it's also going to be my parent's car, and they specifically requested it:o )! my 8 comes fully loaded with protection package, now i dont exactly know what it is, but they told me itz stuff like touch-up paint, better upholstery and all the little things! then i realized what if someone else decided to go for a Nav.sys, would i get pushed back?!(i think i'm the only one getting the 4AT as well) but he assured me that i'll get one of the first ones! and he said i should be expecting it by end of June! feeling quite satisfied with my pre-order, i left the dealership happy and waited! im going to call them up again sometime soon to make sure everything's still on track,they seemed very professional, and i talked with their business manager, he was the guy who showed me the list of pre-orders, and all the in-sights! if i didn't get bumped up, my date would've been august or even september!

IF you have already preordered, the first batch of cars is due in at Port in BC on June 17th, 2003.

I have been told that since the RX-8 is complete, ie nothing needs to be done at port to them, unlike the MazdaSpeed Protege, they should be mobile and to dealers within 5 days of landing...

This info came from a pretty reliable source at Mazda, so hopefully he is right and my car will be here by end of June.

Once they arrive at port I will get some pics like the MSP ones...

found in RX8 discussions, very interesting, i'm going to see if my dealer knows about this, was supposed to call 'em today, instead i went bballing whole afternoon! so wasted, hittin' the beds! But I gonna follow up on this, cause if it's true! DAYEM!!!!!!!!

well, i called 'em up today, my sales-person told me the accessories brochure isn't out yet! :confused: and i gotta call again on monday to speak with the business manager about the arrival dates!:(
