I was just on vacation and went to my favorite Mexican restaurant and thought I'd ask what is your favorite dish?

Mine are:
1. Chicken Chipotle (cut up chicken in a creamy spicy chipotle sauce)
2. Tacos el pastor (pork tacos)

mmmmmmm... makes me hungry :D

Empanada appetizers. Chips and salsa (cheese dip is good too).

A nice strip steak...rubbed with ancho chiles. Grilled slow then sliced thin. Mix with peppers (poblano, jalapeno, etc), onions, corn and spices. Can eat like fajitas or just as is.

Extra Dos Equis

Tequila.

:D

Actually, street tacos from a little shop on Revolucion in Tijuana or lobster tacos from Ortega's in Ensenada are must-haves when I'm south of the border. Living in San Diego all my life definitely has its advantages. Oh, and I make really good guacamole.

I dated a girl once who went to school with the children of some ULTRA rich Mexican family. I'm talking owning parts of the country. Anyway, they had a party at there 'condo' here in Toronto. It was more like the floor of a building. They had this tequila there that was absolutely delicious. A sipping tequila if there ever was one. It tasted so different from jose cuervo and really anything I have ever seen at a store here. I later learned it was worth thousands of dollars per bottle.

delicious!

Well, I don't pay THAT much for my tequila, but I definitely go for the high-end sippin' stuff. Reposado is my favorite, and I recommend Don Eduardo or Penca Azul. Patrone is a good stand-by and more readily available.

Shrimp mole. From a restaurant here in L.A. that has it. Also, although not technically "Mexican," I'll eat virtually anything when in New Mexico--chili pepper heaven.

I like meat, lettuce, tomato, salsa, sour cream wrapped up in a flour or corn wrapper. Isn't Mexican food variations of that in different names?

Steak quesadillas and tacos it is.

My favorite Mexican dish is posole, with Tamales a close second. And my wife makes a killer Albondigas soup.

The best Mexican food I ever had was a bowl of Chili Verde in a truckstop. I'll often order it when we're out but haven't ever found its equal.

whatup guys, im just happy to see so many non-mexicans experience the delicious foods mexican people have to offer and im also happy to see not many people said something like "meximelt" is my favorite mexican food. And belive me, this is just the tip of the iceberg of the thousands of plates they have. Well, happy eating

Enchiladas suizas have to be my favorite. Tender shreaded chicken rolled in handmade tortillas, covered with tomato sauce and melted cheese, ok, im heading to coculas restaurant, peace.

oh, and its tacos al pastor, not tacos el pastor. And yes, these are very very good with a little lemon. Never eaten any authentic ones in the us, here the meat is just spiced steak instead of that tender slow cooked pork, hmmmmm.
