Everyone is different, so some are not harmed by words and some are.

So do words hurt?

To me no, i get a lot of crap from people, but it doesnt bother me aslong as they don't get physical.

I think it depends on who the words are coming from. I couldn't care less what some people say about me, because I don't regard their opinions as valid. Others, though, I listen to.

I have always believed that the reason for living was to leave a lasting impression on everyone who would ever know me, and could benefit in some way from having known me. So when hurtful words are directed towards me, yes, they hurt, maybe more then they should.

I chose toiletpaper. Because I don't know what it means.

But also, I think the words that really hurt are those that come from someone I respect, and/or someone with whom I have no case to defend myself.

Per a conversation that I had today....words can definitely hurt. I will agree that it depends on who they come from. If it is someone that I respect or care about, then they will hurt much worse.

Always... :( But, it's definitely worse coming from someone I know/trust/respect.

no they don't, unless the words are made out of concrete/steel and dropped on you. then it hurts like a mother f$%@&r

Voted TP because none of the choices work for me.

- Hell No - not usually, I have pretty thick skin. Learned early in life to deal with words. What is not said but insinuated bothers me more.

- Hell Yea - if it catches me off guard and cuts deep.

Don Vito, I'm like you in this...words really don't hurt comming from people other than family. Once it's from family, depending on what is said, they can hurt.

Only if they're written on a rock and hurled at me....
