Anybody down here gonna boost there RX8s now that the turbo kits are tricklin in? I won't be boosting mine until after the warranty is up--so a minimum of 4-5 years for me.

pro-tec here in austin is one of the shops building a turbo so I guess the answer to your question would be yes :) I won't be doing anything for a while, if ever. I'm working on saving up for a house so my car will have to be stock for ??

Boost? Me? Eventually. I am quite happy with my GT, and still getting familiar with it at the limits, or without DSC. This car is very easy to drive fast. While my 3rd gen RX7 may have been capable of going quicker, I was never confident that I could control it under full power except in a straight line.

I lean towards a supercharger solution, to help street driving, and to give the car more V6- or V8-like low-RPM power. Also, superchargers tend to be simpler to install and maintain. This is my daily driver, after all.

Both Hymee and Richard Paul have projects underway that I am tracking. Although I am impatient for them to complete, they will likely be done well before I'm ready to upgrade.

I only have 4,000 miles at this point.

I have a 10 year, 100,000 mile warranty. I didnt know turbos and superchargers voided the warranty?

The Greddy Kit is supposedly bolt on, and can "easily" be removed if something messes up.
And turbos and or sc will void the hell outta your Rx8 warranty...if they find out you put one on. ;)

I am, whenever I get hired by a company that pays more than filing for unemployment. I'm going to ride the warranty wave, and then, it's time to shoehorn my GT35R. Don't think it'll work? I'm an engineer. I'll make it work.

I plan on doing it once a full ecu is out and once a kit that comes with more than just the basics is available.

Ok, I no longer have to worry about the warranty issue. 54K miles on my 8. I have a friend that is looking into getting me a kit at his cost and since he has a shop and actually turbo charges cars (he's on honda tech all the time) he's gonna help me with the install and fine tuning. Once this happens, I'll post the result I get.
