:D I'm bored, and in need of more RX-8 material to satisfy my craving:D

Come on, 200 pages isn't that bad :D

Just kidding, the book seems really nice, I'm glad all of the preorders have finally gotten somethng at least...

I just picked up the book from the post office and had a chance to take a look at it. Yes, it's nice good craftsmanship but you are really not missing a whole lot. I think the anticipation was getting to me but once I got the book, it was anticlimactic. Don't worry about the book, I think you'll enjoy the actual car more. :)

Yeah it probably just rehashes all of the stuff we all have been reading for months....

Since I put my deposit down on 5/17 (on a dealer allocated 8), I will not be receiving the book :(

It'd be nice if someone would maybe scan a few pages of it, just the ones dealing with the 8 or info/pics that we haven't seen before.

Can someone scan and PDF it? Maybe break it down into 3-4 sections?

It's extremely detailed with tiny text and a miriad of images. It costs 5000yen which is £26 or $42 so it's a nice thing. I don't have a scanner (luckily, as it would take forever!).

Even if I had a current scanner, of which I owned 3 in the past, it would be royal pain in the ass to scan the entire book. And you probably would screw up the spine of the book in the process. no joke!

As alluded to in other threads the actual performance numbers as "printed" actually have slipped from past Mazda statements. It states the Automatic 0-60 to something like 9.5sec. Some people are majorly flipping out and now think it must be a misprint etc... Anyway, the book is much ado about nothing, as someone stated it's a lot of rehash. The quality is good and nice to have at home but that's about it. You guys are really not missing out on too much.

If I manage to scrap together a scanner I will try my best to scan the technical bits out of the book. As we speak, I bet we have 2-3 volunteers already doing this, as many people are willing to help. Quite refreshing actually.

I'm just interested in seeing new images of the 8 that the book contains.

Any scans would be greatly appreciated, though! ;)

I know he'd be up for it :D I would, but opening the book to do every page would require it to get totally worn out of shape :(
