SSR/SFR RX-8 Turbo
Now you dont have to worry about being left at the stop light by every econobox that has an intake and exhaust on it. The days of cringing everytime a Mustang or Camaro pulls up and flexes its V8 muscle are long gone. Now you have something up your sleeve, you can show off the power of the rotary motor as you blow a big cloud of smoke on them as you proceed to leave them in the dust. If you want more then performance then your prayers have been answered. Now you have the show quality looks to match when you pop the hood. Attention to detail is what makes us better then everyone else. We care about customers and their vehicles. This means the products we sell are the best there is and we will not use anything but the finest parts and materials available to the automotive industry. The SSR/SFR RX-8 Turbo System consists of the following: - 3.5 - 3" 304SS intake pipe - K&N air filter - TO4E turbocharger w/ V-Band Clamps - 304SS Stainless turbo heat shield - 321SS "ultimate flow" turbo header - Tial 46mm dual-port wastegate - 2" 304SS wastegate dumptube (routed into downpipe) - 3" 304SS downpipe - Spearco intercooler - 2-2.5'' 6061 Aluminum Intercooler Piping - EVO Motorsports Recirc Valve - NHRA Approved Battery Relocation Kit - Heatwrap for headers and downpipe - Stainless Steel Radiator Hose - Silicone hoses (red, blue or black) - Stainless steel hoseclamps - 3-an teflon lined oil feed with fittings - 10-an oil drain with fittings - 6-an fuel return line with fittings - Optional Fuel Mangement System Every item in the Speed force racing turbo system is hand fabricated. The 321SS header is Tig welded and back purged to cope with the tremendous heat the rotaries can produce. We use a mounting bracket for the turbo to prevent the header from cracking due to the weight of the heavy T-4 turbo. All of the intake and intercooler piping is mandrel bent 6061 aluminum which dissipates heat better then any other metal of choice for this application. A cold air intake is part of the package. We understand that it is important to get as much cold air into that turbo as possible. We located the Air-Filter in the front of the car so it gets as much cold air as possible. Attention to detail is what makes our kit superior to anything else being offered for the fourth gen RX-8. When you purchase the RX-8 turbo system you can be assured you are getting the best turbo system on the market. We are so confident about this that we offer a full one year warranty on all parts included in the kit except for our 321SS header which comes with a lifetime warranty. Approx 2 weeks lead time to ship .
Price - 5995.00 USD

Most of the same stuff is posted here at their homepage:
http://www.speedforceracing.com/productsmazda_rx8turbokit.php

They indicate 7psi.. no power claims.

Don't you have to buy this "option" ??

TSI engine management system option - $1495

you can use a multitude of other engine management systems...the TSI systerm I believe is the Rick Shaw ECU...but SSR/SFR confirmed you may use E-manage and it's plug and play equal Canzoomer...which are going for cheap in the for sale sections

:) cool :) there is an entire thread on this unit the week or next dynos up?

you'll need something more powerful then the Greddy kit...they are only alleging a 60HP increase at most

SSR/SFR with 7psi has hinted at closing in on 300WHP that's 110 increase
(granted this is all in theory as no dynos have been posted yet)

:) excited to see

true true..but i'm sure the greddy turbo can habdle more than 5psi...their intercooler is anouther story though (it's only a 2 row:() granted ssr's intercooler looks just as tiny...ah well tiem will tell. next week one or two greddys will be installed can't wait to hear feed back...wonder if anyone has gotten this turbo yet? i haven't heard if so:(

They didn't actually claim 300 whp -- that was just a target.

It's nice they offer a one year warranty on their parts, but usually when something goes bad it isn't the turbo that gets damaged--it's the engine.

so far the kit is a stadalon.. you add you own Management system. But this kit is designed to out preform the Greddy... so you be the judge.
I seel both of them. And I have 2 Greddy kits instock in about 2 weeks!!
As with both kits i am taking orders now.. First come .. gets the stock on order..

Taking orders for both kits now.. make sure if you want one you get the orders in.. these will not last.

that sucks becuase let say the kit cost 5500 ...iam just throughing numbers here .now you got to pay someone to install it ,to have it tune by that time your looking into over 6000 $ .trust me it wont sell that fast greddy is a true bolt on nothing else to mess with.

I have a hard time beilieving that they're going to get 300whp on 7psi. Jon is already making 240 at the wheels on 7psi. I'm sure the GReddy tuning is convservative, but I don't think you'll get another 60hp just from tuning. You'll have to up the boost a bit to get 300 at the wheels, but I think the GReddy kit is capable of that if you can get some one to tune the Emanage. Not to mention Jeff is at 225whp at 6 psi and he's doing his own tuning. His A/F is already at 12.5 (except for the minor spike to 13).

So, by the time you buy some Engine Management System and get it tuned your over $7k(assuming you install it yourself)...I can't justify that. Especially when the GReddy kit is plug and play for less than $3k.

The only way to actually know is for someone to go out and purchase it. Run before install dyno and after install dyno... as well as an after tune dyno. But, someone has to be willing to crap out the 6500-7500 for all this on the hunch that it 'should' be more powerful. I know there are plenty out there with this sort of capital. Care to be our guinea pig Charles ;)
