Finally found a Hasbro Meister transformer today at Wal-Mart after seaching in a number of stores in PA and NH. Pretty cool. Take a look.

i think there is some truth when i say that meister is fairly difficult and complex when transforming into the robot. My 1st gen transformers are much much easier then meister, but the detail in the new ones i think are much more realistic. I also have the shockwave prototype and it too is a bitch to transform.

I believe the knees are backwards. You have to switch them around and have the white part facing front. I thought transformers were pretty easy to change, but these new transformers are a pain in the ass to transform. I figured out how to change it to a robot, but I can't figure out how to change it back to the car. I keep popping the doors off cuz of frustration. Oh well, I guess it'll be in robot mode forever.

you searched stores in PA and New Hampshire? just in those 2 states or did you try some in the states between them? did you check the stores in Jersey?:)

You're correct. I just fixed it. Thanks! I figured he was just double-jointed. :)

Haven't tried to transform it back to a car, but will give it a try eventually. Yeah, the doors are a bit touchy. I popped a couple of them off in the process of transforming it, but fortunately they popped back on easily.

Actually, I checked the stores nearby me in PA and my daughter checked the stores near her in NH. Had I driven between the two states I certainly would have stopped at every Wal-Mart along the way. Even in NJ. :)

Transforming.. definatly tougher than my optimus prime transformer from when I was a kid! haha. It took me 30 mins to an hr to get it from car -> robot -> car the first time out.

I found one at Walmart in Levittown LI last Sunday. Actually they had 4. It's out of the box now but I haven't attempted the 30 steps to transform it yet.

Here's a question for everyone who has a Hasbro RX-8. Does your e-brake face the wrong way? Mine faces backward for some reason and I'm afraid to break it off if I try to pry it off.

Nope. Mine is transformed right now, but I can tell that it is oriented correctly. See the attached pic.

I was given both of the Takara (die-cast) versions for Christmas. One in red (stays in car form) and one in white (stays in robot form). :)

My G/F ordered them and from Japan and they finally made it here on Christmas Eve!

Does your hood come off easy. Mine just pops off whenever I transform it

Yes it does. I manage to put it back by manipulating the front of the car up and down until the hood "finds" the best fit.

If you're referring to my comment about putting the hood back on, there IS nothing in the instructions regarding that. Just my trial and error approach.

Try page 5-16. No, just kidding. :)

I guess this is a joke? If so, maybe use an icon next time. If not, I don't have a clue about what you are asking.

I'm very impressed at how you got Shockwave already. Were you the guy that won it off ebay almost as soon as the news of the prototype came out on the Transformer websites (tfw2005)??

Ha ha ... that's the reason that I got interested in the RX8!! Saw that link on a Transformer website and saw that it was a sweet car. From there, it was love (both the figure and the car).

Mitch, go to your local Walmart, Target, etc and look for him. If you want the Japanese version you can order online. I recommend
www.bigbadtoystore.com
www.greenpigtoys.com

There are others, so do a search.

i cant even get tfw2005 to work until midnight. i did get mine off of epay, i just had to have it as the prototype model, cant wait for takara to release it with the wing.

well that's what I meant ... the prototype was showcased on a number of TF sites. And a few hours later, the same guy or guys put up the prototype for auction. How much did you drop on Shockwave?
